Great little hotel in quiet tiny village. Owners were charming and super helpful. Other staff were very nice too. Two lovely, friendly dogs living in the hotel too. 5 minutes easy walk up slight hill to nearest ski lift but we could ski almost back. Breakfasts were good, plenty of food (continental style). Evening meals were mostly good, we could generally choose between two options the night before. There would generally be a starter, then a pasta or rice dish, then meat or fish then pudding. The vegetarian options were a bit limited but we didn’t go hungry. Ski storage area in basement was fine. The sauna was an additional cost and the jacuzzi out of order the week we were there. The bar area was very nice and convivial. You can get a bus up to Sestriere (cost €1.70pp) but it’s only every two hours or so and you have to call to arrange it, so it’s a bit limiting if you want to go out in the evening. Sestriere itself was ok, only one small supermarket which was often closed 12-4 so stock up on snacks in advance. Skiing was excellent, and lift queues even in half term were much less than we have experienced in France.

Agree totally with Michael's review.... It's worth noting that a lot of the reviews here are quite old. The Hotel has a nice friendly atmosphere, with a spacious and comfortable bar/lounge area and dining room. The level of service is very good. The rooms are fairly basic, but very clean and functional... Though showing a few signs of wear here and there. There is no lift. But these are minor grumbles, it was the food that really let the hotel down and spoilt our holiday. The quality of the ingredients, the cooking and the variety on offer was very disappointing, both at breakfast and dinner. And as Michael notes, there are barely no outside options for evening dining in Borgata. In summary: If you're looking for an Italian style budget hotel in a great location for hiking or skiing, this pretty much fits the bill. If the owners could find a new chef and give a bit more thought to what's on offer (vegetarian options, salads, fresh fruit salad, ice cream... All plentiful and surely not expensive in Italy?! ), I'd be happy to give this hotel a much higher rating.

The rooms are fine, I had a twin to myself but a couple might struggle as they aren't the biggest rooms. Bed was very comfortable and rooms clean. I've never had my bin emptied twice a day, seems a little unnecessary. The hotel wasn't the warmest, especially in the bar. Please make sure you take the appropriate italy compatible plug 🔌 (3 pins, narrow), the sockets do not fit standard European plugs!!! The staff were excellent and friendly, the 2 dogs are adorable. The only issues I had: 1. Bootroom is not heated so boots were still wet in the morning (left mine in the ski shop up the road €20 for the week, they also do a great ski service for €23). 2. The hot water ... was not hot for the last 2 days of my week .. I suspect the very low temperature reaked havoc with the boiler. 3. It's an older hotel, walls are very thin and you can hear the people next door .. take ear plugs if noise bothers you. 4. The food is awful, unseasoned, bland, unappetising, the frozen chips were raw, the vegetarian food had meat in it ... the 2 waiters appeared embarrassed to be serving it as it was so bad and apologised profusely. I'm not a fussy eater ... but they definitely need a new chef. 5. Breakfast on the day of departure .. 2 packs of dry rusks, an apple, carton of high sugar juice and a little pack of biscuits ... it was really poor. Given that there is only a tiny shop selling very basic stuff in Borgata, one bar that closes early ... if you want to escape from the terrible food, you need to get a taxi to Sestriere or eat up the mountain where the restaurants do great food.

Lovely staff, good rooms and the bar has a good friendly feel to it, but the food is dreadful. We went half board, but after the first couple of days, the same limited breakfast and dreadful evening menu meant looking elsewhere, but there’s not much in Borgatta.

We had a lovely stay at Hotel Banchetta - our Italian hosts were very friendly and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was good and plentiful, and the bar/lounge area was comfortable. Bedrooms were a little small but were very clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Borgata is a quiet place, but the lifts and ski hire shop were only a short walk from the hotel. Sestriere was a shuttle bus ride away for non-skiers. Overall we had a lovely holiday at Hotel Banchetta and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it as a great place to stay

酒店回复: Thank you for taking the time to write such a good impression. Best regards
