Can’t rate the hotel and the staff highly enough, all so lovely. Fantastic food, super close to the slopes and really can’t do enough for you. Ski lockers in the basement really easy to use and the location is perfect! We will be back!

Just back from a fabulous week skiing and stay in Hotel Cubil with my young daughters. What an amazing week. The beds are so comfy, the food is amazing the hotel is spotless and Pierre has an amazing team who treat you like part of their family from the time you arrive until you leave. The hotel is a few minus walk to the slopes but far away from the Apres nightlife. As a vegetarian I was treated to some beautiful cuisine which was a pleasant surprise. I cannot rate this hotel highly enough. We will definitely be back next year. Thank you for everything.

We stayed at Hotel Cubil, arriving on the 22nd December for a week and stayed on the 2nd floor. I felt the need to leave a positive review of the hotel whilst it is fresh in my memory. Hotel: Very Good. Lovely seating area at the bar, where we could play cards, play pool, watch the sport on the big TV and relax. Lovely relaxed atmosphere around the place, everyone is smiley and says hello. We were pleasantly surprised at the festive decorations and Christmas tree to make our stay extra special. Ski lockers requires a 10 euro cash deposit, boot room is huge Room: Very Good. We were on the 2nd floor overlooking the road outside. Pleasantly surprised at the room, I like the separate sleeping area. Understandably it was quite noisy on Christmas Eve, but otherwise we were able to leave the door open to let in some cold air. Room was always clean and as good as any ski hotel we've stayed in. Food: Half board Breakfast - Excellent, combination of continental and bacon, eggs and beans. Same selection every day, but plenty of options available, we were given a 'picnic' bag for our early departure which was unexpected but much appreciated. Dinner - varied between Good and Excellent. We were given the week menu on arrival at the hotel to select our choices and this was a very good idea. I didn't expect my eldest child (super fussy) to eat all the meals, but nothing went to waste at our table. The only meal we were not keen on was the Monkfish, but that was down to us not the quality of the food itself. The curry and the chilli were both winners as were all the starters and deserts. Drinks prices we considered very reasonable, especially the Chablis which we had most evenings. Location: Excellent Located about 5 minutes walk to the bottom of the piste, downhill. Plenty of restaurant options and bars nearby, even a Burger King about 3 mins walk away. Plenty of small supermarkets too. Location is ideal. Staff: Excellent Pierre and his staff are what boosts this hotel to the next level. They all work tirelessly but were always happy to help. Pierre particularly is quite a character and loved getting to know him during our week. Very enthusiastic and always went above and beyond to help or discuss meal ingredients! He also provided a Philips screwdriver in my hour of need when my bindings needed tightening! Chambermaids always said hello and it made us feel very welcome. Cons: 1. Street can be noisy at times, but if the door is shut it drowns it out. Only a problem if you like a window open at night like we do 2. We found the water temperature was always very warm without ever getting truly hot. Only an issue if you like hot baths/showers Tips: 1. Have 10 euro's in cash for the boot room locker on arrival 2. Cash dispensers were sparse, we found one in McDonalds in the end, so take cash with you 3. Shortcut to the slopes straight across from the hotel down a flight of steps 4. Eat lunch at the bottom of the slopes, burgers were around 18euros at

We are staying in hotel cubil booked through Direct Ski, we are two families ranging in age 13 to 54. This hotel is more a 4 star than 3 star in my opinion. The staff work very hard and everything from the reception, to restaurant and bedrooms are perfect. When the waitress realised we were all one group after our first night they rearranged tables so we could all dine together, this was such a nice thought. Breakfast is plentiful and something for everyone, from fresh fruit to cooked breakfast, nobody went hungry. Dinner is three generous courses all served promptly. Rooms are spacious and soo clean, plenty of hot water. Rooms are actually more two rooms in one! Our 13 year old son has a whole room with double bed within our room, he's delighted with this! They are cleaned daily to a very high standard, by lovely friendly polite staff. It's 2 minute walk to slopes and has its own locker room in basement. It's also town centre location. We would definitely reccomend this to anyone looking for a great base for a ski holiday.

Returned a couple days ago from a wonderful week at Hotel Cubil! This is such a lovely family-run hotel with spacious rooms - we were on the top floor and so had a lovely balcony and partial view over the mountains too! In a perfect location - only a two minute walk to the slopes and lots of restaurants/bars around (but far enough away that we did not encounter any disturbances to our sleep!). Food was a particular highlight - we chose half board and all the dishes (especially the salad starters) were amazing. Two options for each course was more than enough to choose from. Staff were always willing to accommodate requests - many thanks for my limoncello spritzes (which were not on the menu but staff happily catered this, much to my delight!!). Thank you for a wonderful stay! (only small piece of feedback is that the ski lockers in the garage are not very secure as they have holes in the top (not somewhere you'd want to leave any pricey ski equipment) so we chose to rent elsewhere at Pas83 which also comes with a free drink every night and is right on the slopes. This was not a problem for us at all as ultimately ski lockers are a bonus rather than an expectation for a hotel, just something to be aware of!).
