We stayed in the Ferienwohnung (holiday flat) for 1 night, as this was suggested as a good option for a family of four. It was massive (3 bedrooms with many beds in each) but a nice break for 1 night as an alternative to all being piled into one room as we have done elsewhere. A bit pricey if all you really need is a bed on the way elsewhere, however. Definite 80s vibe to everything, but clean & functional. (We assumed that this was a flat an owner & their family might have lived in previously?). Very peaceful at night despite location on a busy road. Unexpected bonus for some members of the family was the proximity of a German military airbase, if starting the morning watching fighter jets take off & land is your thing! Perfect location also for visiting Haitabu Viking village, if travelling by car.
