Stayed at the guesthouse, beautiful and clean, spacious room (queen) and welcoming host. Great central location without being too in the thick of it. Easy access and would definitely stay there again if in the region. Warm, good facilities too.

Despite late arrival due to storm Darragh , room was reserved until arrival some 12 hours later. Comfortable large bed with superior bedding and pillows. Room spacious with plenty of storage. Additional chairs to add assistance when needed. Only negative was no complimentary toiletries, just hand wash .

Lovely little guest house with well appointed, spacious rooms in a really convenient location very near to the village center. No private parking is available but there is loads of free on street parking around, we were able to park right outside the front door. Great value for money in a lovely, less explored and genuine village in West Cork.

I stayed at this Property with My Wife and Daughter on dates July 30th to August 2nd 2022. On arrival there was no reception. The barman showed us the rooms. He displayed zero interest . On day 1 we discovered the rooms had not been serviced , at all. It transpired over our 3 night stay that the bed sheets , and bathrooms had not been touched over 3 full days. When it came to paying the bill there was no one to take my card . I wanted to complain about the lack of service however there was no one there to deal with my complaint. 3 days later I got a call to say my bill had not been paid. This property is badly run, sloppy , and zero customer service. The bed was tiny and uncomfortable. Stay away

Our host, a character, greeted us promptly, but rather in a hurry; he was pulling double duty at the restaurant next door. Our room’s okay & quiet, but we had to ask for soap & heat. Both were sorted quickly. Access to outlets is a problem. One is behind the bed & the other only half of the outlet works. The hot water for a shower is much appreciated.

I stayed in Clonakilty recently, and decided to eat at An Sugan. It was very disappointing. I had the fish and chips. When it arrived, it looked so unappealing. A little bucket of pale chips, which tasted like frozen chips to me. Battered fish, which just wasn’t crispy enough, and absolutely no garnish, except a wedge of lemons . The staff had no customer service skills whatsoever. I have no idea how it gets such positive reviews. I won’t be rushing back. Also, overpriced , for what they are serving.
