Unit 320 was average cleanliness; under headboard by wall filthy. Keycard did not work, had to be let in by staff each night. Asked for extra coat hangers, staff couldn't help. Asked again next day to another staff member, he found two. Parking lot, front entrance avg, to less than deisrable in tidiness and attractiveness.

After driving 20 hours, I decided to stop for the night little did I know I wasn’t gonna be able to check in because supposedly they’re fully booked but on all platforms there was plenty of availability you could even see rooms available in the windows in the parking lot

Completely awful, everything you would expect from a Super8! Checked in the middle of the night and the young guy at the desk checked me into an already occupied right next to the check in desk. It clearly had a do not disturb placard hanging from the handle, and the key would not open it. When I kept pointing out the do not disturb sign, and the fact that the keys would not open it saying that there’s probably someone already in the room he kept making an excuse that there wouldn’t be. He finally tried to open the door and it was locked with the manual lock on the top. Then made an excuse that they were working on the lock from the inside. When we went back to the desk, I could hear someone go to the door and open it to see who was trying to break into their room. I finally got a different room on the same first floor. And when walking to the end of the hallway, there is a giant leak of water in the center of the hallway. It was so wet that my suitcase wheels were creating rooster tails. When I entered the room, the AC was blowing very cold, which would normally be good, but it was very moist in the air and everything felt damp. laying in the bed I felt like it was literally wet. Like I said it was the middle of the night so I just forced myself to sleep. I took a shower in the morning to wash away the nastiness that covered me from being in that wet air. The one thing I can say is the water pressure was not atrocious.

I am not a fan of hotels but sometimes there is a need. This was affordable and although it could be cleaner it didn't show signs of bugs.Pillows were small and room had a little smell but we slept and got back on the road. Staff was friendly and I did like to grab a bite of breakfast before leaving. Not fancy but not too bad.

This Super8 was more than expected from a 2 star hotel. It was super clean, quiet, convenient for our visit to Carmi, Illinois. We really appreciated the laminate flooring. This is the first hotel we’ve used that didn’t have carpeting, allowing it to be cleaned frequently. Sheets were crispy clean and soft, towels were abundant and fluffy. AC was good. Plenty of hot water and shower pressure. The TV was somewhat complicated, but we managed. Breakfast was very good, but limited. Excellent toaster, good coffee, yummy sausage Patties and sausage gravy. Biscuits on first day were a bit dried out, but that was at the end of the breakfast serving time which is from 5a-9a. So the earlier you indulge the better the breakfast. The staff ( Harry, Sue, Lucy, Polly) were super at their jobs. Very attentive, helpful, and so friendly. They aim to please their guests and their attitude shows it. That being said, this is a basic bare bones hotel that delivers clean, quiet, friendly, adequate service. You can pay more elsewhere but I seriously doubt you can beat the friendly, caring service. If you need other food choices there is “Family Diner” in Grayville. Home cooking, reasonable prices, and again excellent service. We ate there twice. It’s where the locals meet and eat. Quite an extensive menu. Fried chicken is supposed to be outstanding. They have a breakfast buffet on the weekends. All in all, we will visit these two places again when we return to this area.

Affordable and comfortable. I got a clean room, free Wi-Fi, and slept soundly. Everything worked just fine and I didn’t feel cramped or rushed. A reliable choice when you’re just looking for the basics done right. Highly recommended for budget friendly
