The room was very nice-lots of room, accessible shower for my mom.However-in the evenings and early morning we were kept awake/awoken by what sounded like someone stomping back and forth.I called down to the desk the second night and was told by an apologetic attendant that the air-conditioning was broken and being fixed.This noise continued until approx 1:30 am and began again too early in the a.m.we spoke with the girl at the desk in the morning who said it was only until 10:00-it was much longer than that-it was the same issue for the remainder of the stay. Overnight on Friday it began approx 1:15am and lasted through to approx 3am-I do not believe this was maintenance but rather a noisy, heavy footed guest. I would have appreciated a room change.(btw-my mom and I both wear hearing aids and I sleep with 'white noise' so this was unreasonably loud) Regardless of how nice the room was - this experience and loss of sleep made it an average experience at best-with consideration for the friendly staff and nice room.

Had a great eta. The hotel is clean and well-decorated in a modern style. We were welcomed with complementary cocktails (thanks to our Marriott status I believe). Room was quiet for the most part. I love that they serve free coffee in the mornings Best of all the hotel is so close to the shops and restaurants in Portsmouth.

Nice place well located w a few issues
Nice enough place well located steps to downtown. Room was clean and nice w comfy bed. Room lacked bureau for clothing storage. Bathroom and shower nice but you may want to do something about slippery shower floor. My big grip is the mandatory $45/night valet parking.

Its been a quiet a while since a hotel Ive stayed at was operating as well as this one is. Top notch in every way over 4 days. Impressive!
