We hired a small cabin for 2 nights in December. It was very quiet, very few guests, we suppose because the school holidays were still a week or so away. The cabin was a little dated and, perhaps overpriced and a fair way from the town but adequate for a two night stay. Clean and everything worked.

What a delightful place to stay. We were greeted to a warm and cosy waterfront cabin by a kookaburra, magpie and a duck. Inside our cabin was spacious and impeccably clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had heating. Power points were well located throughout the cabin, beside the bed and conveniently located in the kitchen. The RSL is just down the road and is a great place to have a meal. We loved our peaceful stay and hope to be back soon.

I didnt like the long drive to reception, with very little in the way of directions.

I didn’t like the big house boats that came and parked right in front of the cabin and ruined the view for me

If you really feel the need to have an 1880’s experience then stay here because that’s what you will get. This park is old, desolate, isolated and lacking in every respect. We were conned by the photo of the pool area which does have some appeal as this place is so very HOT 🥵🥵 Cabins are so old & tired. We have stayed in some beautiful cabin parks (e.g. Big 4 Wye River) where the management clearly takes pride in their facilities. If I had not prepaid a non refundable rate I would have taken one look & moved on. I think a prison camp might be better. Do yourself a favour & find something else !
