Sie haben bei uns ein Doppelzimmer gebucht. am Tag Ihrer Anreise hat Ihre Sekretärin ein E-Mail gesendet, dass Sie alleine Reisen. Wie Sie aus dem Bestätigung nachlesen kennen, ist eine kostenlose Stornierung/ Änderung am Tag Ihrer Anreise nicht mehr möglich. Das Doppelzimmer war für Sie reserviert und eine Umbuchung in Einzelzimmer nicht mehr möglich. Aus diesem Grund haben Sie auch das Doppelzimmerpreis bezahlt. Excellent hotel. Everything is very professional but cosy at the same time. Very peaceful and beautiful location. The food there is superb. The breakfast options were plentiful. The dinner options are very interesting. The chef was able to tailor the meals to accommodate food allergies (gluten intolerance in our case). Also a very convenient location to connect with the rest of the Appenzell area.

I stayed here for 2 nights in September 2023 in a room for 1 person. I think it had the smallest bathroom compared to any other hotel I have stayed in, but it is manageable to move around. The location of the hotel is great. There is a beautiful view over the Appenzeller mountains and I was lukcy to get a room with a view and a balcony. The walls are thin, so bring earplugs in case you get noisy neighbours. There is plenty to choose from at the breakfast buffet. There is free parking at the hotel. There is a 20 minute walk to the cable car station that will take you to Ebenalp.

We had a very nice stay at Frohe Aussicht! It's a family owned hotel where you feel very welcome. It has a very central location and is surrounded by incredible mountains. The breakfast is very tasty, and the calm will help you spend relaxing vacations. Highly recommend.
