A perfect location! Wonderful staff who will go out of their way for you, and who really care about the place. Exceptionally clean rooms with lovely touches throughout. I only wish my kids were little again because we'd be there every holiday!

What a wonderful place to rest up after a hard day's walking. Most comfortable beds of our trip.... And they were bunk beds! Clean, warm, relaxed and welcoming. Staff were lovely and really helpful. Food also very good.... But please add some oats / granola to the breakfast bar! If you're walking the coastal path as we were be warned that the hostel is about a mile on from Robin Hood's Bay via a lot of very steep steps! Stay and explore RHB before coming to Boggle cos you won't want to walk back!

Following our previous nights stay at YHA Whitby my daughter and I made our way down to Boggle Hole for the night. As other reviews state the parking is a short walk away down a hill so be careful with what you bring with you as you're gonna have to take it back up again. On this visit we stayed in the main house with a room facing the sea which was great to wake up to. The cafe area can be busy if the hostel is full but we managed to seat ourselves at a table for the afternoon. On this visit we ordered dinner and breakfast and both were very good and excellent value with my daughter eating for £1 on both occasions. A hidden gem in the cliff side with it biting cold outside but the log fire keeping all inside warm. We enjoyed walks on the beach while the tide was out over to Robin Hoods Bay. Will definitely return again.

This was such a nice place to stay overnight. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of space and facilities were excellent. We ate both breakfast and tea there which were both very nice and the staff were also fantastic and very helpful. I loved the theming despite some slightly odd decorations and the bookshelf stairs were a really nice touch. Watching the sunrise over the sea was also definitely a highlight of the stay. Overall I would definitely recommend this place and even though the walk down the steep hill and back was somewhat traumatic it was well worth it.

Secluded hostel in an old smugglers cove on the North Yorkshire coast. This place has lots of atmosphere, it's nestled in woodland at the end of a small lane and you can walk out of the door onto the beach. The Cleveland Way coastal path passes through the property, walk for miles along the cliffs with amazing sea views. If you arrive by car (and the only alternative is to walk) you have to negotiate some steep, narrow lanes. The parking is away from the hostel, so you have to carry your stuff down the lane. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's a cafe open during the day. The private rooms are overpriced in my opinion. Rather off putting were the "alphabet rights" multicoloured flags. Not sure what this has to do with YHA, or hospitality towards paying guests. Are staff allowed to use the property to promote whatever political agenda they like? This hostel is used by school groups so it's inappropriate to say the least.

What a lovely place to stay. It's got a real community vibe and is so welcoming. Had to knock a star off for the food as it wasn't the best quality, although the pizza and toastie were lovely, the fish and chips wasn't the quality I expected and was quite pricey for the portion size. Would definitely stay here again though. Location is amazing right on the beach, loads of things to do with the kids. Beds comfy and everything lovely and clean.
