Had a lovely weekend break stay at Dufton. It is a charming historic building with features that give it character and warmth. Cannot fault the staff either, both were very welcoming and helpful. It is a shame that the YHA are selling this one. Any buyers out there who want to keep it as a hostel without undertaking unnecessary modern alterations? :-)

Great first hostelling trip with the children (8 and 5) - great facilities in a fabulous location, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Didn’t take up cooked breakfast option - but looked good! Nearby Dufton Ghyll woods brilliant place to explore with children. Would definitely recommend / go back!

A cosy, welcoming hostel in a great location. Friendly helpful team. Well located for walks in the nearby fells, some leaving direct from the village. Pleasant pub across the green. Had an excellent cooked breakfast which set us up for the day (veggie options available).

Great friendly staff who served a lovely meal at a reasonable price. Bed was comfy, shower and toilets clean and the views from this location are stunning. Perfect location for Pennine way. Would definitely reccommend.

Awesome stay with my son and nephew. Great beds, rooms, beautiful old building. Lovely lounge with open fire. Wonderful staff who really get how important it is to provide an oasis of calm and back to old school values.
