Pretty Pohara Beach Top 10 Had a lovely unit at Pohara and it had a nice homely feel to it. We really enjoyed our time staying here. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We came during a quite season and enjoyed the serenity. There was noone camping – it was completely empty, so when we looked out of our window all we saw was a long lawn. But I imagine that it would be like that in summer. The kids loved the bouncy pillow and playground. Great spot right there on the beach. Highly recommend if you are over in that part of the world.

My first stay here. Couldn't fault the place. Good facilities. Staff were friendly. Beach front so close for a swim. Quite tidal so a bit of a walk at low tide. But a safe, shallow beach. Perfect for the young ones. Very happy with my stay.

Booked 2x motel rooms and found them disappointing. Tired units that need refreshing. Unit 1 very noisy on the main entrance to the park with all cars, motorhomes and caravans going past to enter or exit. View of the laundry/toilet block. There are some smaller cabins closer to the beach and some spacious van parks. Overall disappointing for us.

We stayed during Waitangi weekend - It was very busy. The staff were friendly (from reception through to the grounds people). We stayed in an ensuite cabin which was right beside the sea and was made up very comfortably and also included a jug and tea/coffee sachets along with a small fridge/freezer for convenience. It had a wonderful deck with a couple of chairs and was nice sitting out there looking out to the sea with a drink and nibbles (the seagulls got the message after a couple of telling's off ;-) ) You needn't take much food as there are plenty of bars/restaurants only a couple minutes walk away, along with a convenience store on site

这是我们六周新西兰之旅中住过的最贵的十佳露营地，尽管它位于海滨，但性价比却出奇地低。泥泞的“草地”没有一个是平坦的，如果你离开一天，你不一定能再次得到同样的体验。厨房里没有锅碗瓢盆或餐具，所以其他露营者不得不互相借用，这是我们在其他地方没有见过的。寒冷的浴室有大砖通风口，所以没有机会保暖。投币式淋浴的热水压力很弱，长凳很窄，只有一个挂钩可以挂衣服，没有窗帘或屏风来保持干燥。我的妻子说女厕所的主门关不上，没有女用垃圾箱，垃圾箱（只有一个）没有盖子。我们住了两个晚上，但真希望我们只住一个晚上。
