Marcoles is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. It took ages to drive here from the main roads but we were glad we did. We had a warm welcome. The rooms were individual and interesting. Dinner in the Michelin-awarded restaurant was first class. Breakfast was a little chaotic, perhaps because we were the last guests to have it that morning. Marcoles is a historic, if very quiet village, well worth a wander. We enjoyed our stay very much.
