This place is incredibly badly run - who ever heard of a hotel that ran out of butter to put on toast at breakfast (not even any margarine!). Getting a cup of coffee or tea at breakfast is also a story. It has to come out of the kitchen and takes ages (or may be forgotten altogether). Sometimes there are not enough cups - as a conference guest I was forced to tip toothpicks out of a glass and use that to get a drink during the break as the cups had run out and there was no one about to bring more. Best avoided.

I stayed at River Meadow Manor in Irene and had high expectations. The rooms are cozy and well-appointed, and the grounds are truly beautiful—everything suggests a peaceful, quality stay. Unfortunately, the experience was far from that. I was willing to overlook a few early disappointments: a used beer bottle left in my bin at check-in, a phone that doesn't work to call reception, and no remote for the air conditioner. However, what truly ruined the stay was the non-stop noise from a private function held on Monday, 7th July, starting around 3 PM. The loud music and shouting continued without pause, making it impossible to concentrate or rest—both of which I needed, as I was here for work. It has been overwhelming and frankly, infuriating. While the receptionist I spoke to tried to be helpful, the reality is this was completely unacceptable for any guest, especially during the week. I absolutely would not stay here again.

这绝对是我出差去过的最糟糕的地方。房间里没有Wi-Fi信号，根本没法工作，而且房间门的设计也很容易泄露隐私。我们刚才竟然在黑暗中吃了晚饭！我写这封信是希望管理层能看到，帮我们解决这个问题！都2024年了，一家酒店居然连稳定的Wi-Fi都没有，这简直太离谱了！
