Bonfire on the beach great. That, with a great view of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge was totally unexpected but fabulous.

Very cute place but the grounds and the room itself was dirty. The cleaning was definitely poor and it smelt like backed up septic.

It was very nice till the people in the room above us started throwing food off their balcony and some landed on our deck scrambled eggs not pretty but the gulls loved it. That was inconsiderate of the people above us.

The 3 C's: Clean, Comfortable and Cuiet. Well, maybe Quiet is spelled with a Q, but we really enjoyed our stay and they were extremely accommodating. We'll be back.

The staff was excellent.
She gave us the run down for the room and was very informative & professional about the motel & surrounding area.
We'll be back to stay at the Clearwater.

Would not recommend
The bathroom was awful. The toilet paper holder was missing and looked like it had been ripped off the wall. The tub/shower was dirty. The bed was uncomfortable. There were no mirrors in the room area. There was a sprinkler head missing in the hall outside our room. The continental breakfast was not very good and the breakfast area was dirty. We would definitely never stay here again.

Front desk suggested if we were going to Mackinaw Island to park at the hotel. Take the shuttle save the parking fee. The room was clean & Bed comfortable. A full breakfast available. Staff Friendly and helpful.
