The cabin was very disappointing. . Cobwebs all over rubbish behind bedroom furniture, carpet and sofa stained . Shower very hard to alter temperature got scalded. Lack of sockets. Bedroom door wouldnt move. Very small space between end of bed and wall very difficult to get past. Light bulbs too dim. Mattress uncomfortable . No dishwasher as described on ad. No information pack. Towels very tatty. Nothing to light log burner with not even matches. Nothing to open log burner door with when hot. No tea towel or oven glove. Had to unplug water heater to use microwave. Very poor communication with owners

We stayed at Log Home Village for 2 nights, the cabin was really lovely and comfortable. The view from the cabin overlooking the horses and the fields were spectacular. We didn't hear any noises throughout our stay apart from the odd traffic noise from the road close by but other than that I can't complain. The cabin itself was clean with fully equipped kitchen, WIFI and TV so came in handy for our 2 boys. The bathroom was extremely clean, the rooms were clean. The cabins are situated a few minutes from Ulverston town itself but pre warn - it was a bit hectic exit the entrance to the cabins onto the main road due to the overgrown bushes so it caused a bit of a blind spot but this isn't Log Home Villages fault.

The location of the lodges were easy to find with beautiful roads/views throughout the district running up to the entrance, upon arrival we were met by Tim who gave us a warm welcome and showed us to our lodge (lodge 2). The lodges are perfectly placed with views of the farm fields where you can watch the cows playing and 3 lovely horses which come right up to the fence for you to stroke , not forgetting the small patrol of chickens which walk round the area. Although if you’re a light sleeper the cockerel you’ll most definitely hear between 04:00-05:00. The lodge itself had a nice homely feel and can imagine it would also be a nice break for in the winter with the log fire, the sofas were nice and comfy so on a night you can relax with a nice film. The cleanliness was good overall, few cob webs not perfect but it’s a log cabin so what do you expect. The only slightly negative thing we both had to say was the beds were not comfortable at all, obviously this is down to personal preference as we’ve seen previous reviews saying the beds were comfortable. Just a word of warning if you don’t like spring beds a double mattress topper wouldn’t be a bad idea. Finishing off me and my fiance had a a great time and the area is blessed with activities recommending the boat hire in Windermere and also the go ape. We will be returning in the near future.

Nothing like pictures shown! Dirty, didn’t look as if it had been cleaned for some while. many lights not working including outside light which was dangerous. Not enough cutlery, no oven gloves, thick cobwebs behind bed, very sticky bathroom floor, stained sofa , rugs and carpet. Reviews mention flowers and wine, we had nothing not even a pint of milk. Very watered down washing liquid. This break was a Christmas present from our daughter and son in law but was certainly nothing like the good reviews we had read. The noise from the main road which is just behind is quite noisy and very visible, not the quiet retreat we were led to believe! So disappointed and will never return

Remote location, ideal for a quiet, away from it all break. 5 star standatd self catering accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Unique log cabin buildings, we stayed in the 4 berth Damson Lodge. Didn't always need the log burner as central heating was sufficient. Well equipped kitchen. 30 minute walk across fields to Ulverston. Shortcut through Newlands Bottom to local monument on a hill with great views. Will return.

I can't rate this place highly enough! The cabin was beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. We spent 3 nights away and it was the most relaxed I've ever been, sitting by the log fire, cosied up with a film or enjoying the views from the decking area. I would recommend the cabins to anyone looking to get away and switch off x

There are 3 beautiful cabins, we stayed in cabin 2. On arrival we were blown away by the coziness of the place. The decor was so homely, quaint and charming. A bunch of fresh daffodils and bottle of red wine on the table were a lovely gesture. The kitchen is well equipped and despite previous reviews, does have washing up liquid, tea towel and loo roll. Outside there us a barbecue and a gorgeous vase of fresh lillies. We had a perfect view of the horses who played merrily in the field. 2 chickens were often on our veranda looking for crumbs, so charming. The bathroom had a shower over the bath. We took our own toiletries, there was liquid hand soap. Our bedroom had a quaint bee theme which was so cosy and adorable. Our daughter had the rabbit room next door. Everything had so much attention to detail, it was so welcoming. We brought Easter eggs to hide, which led us to the hen house. My daughter (8) popped her head in to see the hens, there was 2 freshly laid eggs. The owner Tim saw us out and about abd introduced himself. We told him our daughter was thrilled to find 2 eggs. Tim invited us to go back and take them for my daughters breakfast. This was such a fabulous gesture, something we would never experience in city life. We saw the cows. Sheep, horses and hens everyday and truly relaxed in each others company. Thank you Tim and Anna for everything

A lovely log cabin that was warm and cosy on a dreadful weekend of rain. It was lovely and clean and everything you needed. Our neighbours were horses and cows and chickens with their chicks. A nice touch when we arrived was the carnations in a vase and a bottle of red wine. The location was great for exploring the lakes. The only niggle for me was the size of the bed. My partner is 6foot and we are used to a super king so a small double was a bit on the tight side snd we had to use both beds. But a fab place snd would definitely go back. We meant Tim and a really nice guy.

This was our second visit, and although we still thoroughly enjoyed our stay we felt this time it was lacking in some facilities. We came for my husband's 40th and it was very nice they provided some wine. However, the kitchen didn't have any tea towels, bin bags, tea or coffee. There was a coffee machine but no ground coffee. The candle lighter didn't work either. There was no shower gel in the bathroom which most places provide. These were the only niggles and everything else was lovely. The location is ideal, the beds are so comfy and the cabins have such a nice ambience and feel about them. We would stay again if they would be better equipped for little special touches in the future.
