My room was right beside the elevator and the head of the bed was against the wall where the elevator shaft is. So every time the elevator moved it was very loud and effected my sleep. You should discount this room.

We were looking for a place to sleep while traveling and came upon this hotel. I was impressed with staff politeness, cleanliness and accessibility (my mom uses a walker) if I am in the area again I will stay here again

This was our second time staying at the Microtel and we will definitely choose this hotel again, the breakfast is great and the room was very clean. We needed extra blankets and the gentleman and the front desk was great and gave me 2 just in case.

If you're going to stay at a hotel in Red Deer, do yourself a favour and pick Microtel!
While my girlfriend and I chose the hotel for the water slide, it ended up being the best hotel I've stayed at for several reasons. The biggest reason is the friendly staff. I've stayed at various hotels, including a stay at a 4 star that had a jacuzzi in the room, and while they've all had kind staff that nod or say hello when you pass, they've never had friendly staff like Microtel Red Deer.
On our first morning we went down for breakfast to find a huge variety of food available, and Wina welcomed us, said good morning and asked how we were doing. We experienced this our first 3 mornings. On the 4th morning we were welcomed by Vella, saying good morning and she hoped we enjoy the food. When I returned my trays, she said she hopes we are enjoying our stay with them. It was so nice to feel honest and genuine welcome from these lovely ladies. It was such a nice way to start the day!
During our stay we would go to ask for the pool slide to be turned on. At first I kind of felt like I was being annoying because the person at the front desk would have to leave what they were doing to come to the pool and turn it on, but Fouad was always happy to help, and took the opportunity while walking back to the pool with me to ask how our stay was and if there was anything we needed to make our stay better.
