We had stayed here in 2021 so we knew the property. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The owners are very helpful. Full English breakfast is very good and sets you up for the day. The house is in 15 acres of land which the owners have developed over the years into an award-winning conservation "park". You can walk around at least some of it, but we have yet to do that as we have only stayed in winter! We recommend staying at any time of year, but we would like to return so that we can look around the grounds in summer!

If you are thinking of visiting Cambridge,Peterborough,Ely or the lovely towns and villages of the Fens then a stay at Pointers guest house is highly recommended. Lovely rooms with the best shower in the en-suite bathroom. Delicious breakfast with a wide choice available. Secure and safe parking. Beautiful gardens in which to relax after a busy day.

This is a spacious and pleasant bed and breakfast in a tranquil location. Comfortable room nice bathroom with a good walk in shower and separate bath . Arrival was slightly difficult as we did not have the code to the electric gates although I had let the owner know of our long journey from Plymouth and the desire therefore to check in a little earlier., and was advised no problem . We could hear dogs barking but despite 3 calls no one answered the phone . My husband then left me with the car and walked around 100 yards to the house where he found the code on the desk , the door being open . It wasn’t ideal so I recommend you are sure to ask for the code specifically before your arrival . I am not a massive fan of dogs and the loud barking of 3 large animals was off putting. The owner did explain and apologised for that the next day and all was quiet for the second day and night . The decor is dated but pleasant and clean . A lot of breakable ornaments in the room and bathroom too were a slight concern but thankfully no breakages occurred. A good breakfast served piping hot . As a plus size lady I found the dining chairs uncomfortable and that would probably mean we wouldn’t return - but it’s a good place to stay if you need to be in this area and much quieter than other areas nearby ..

酒店回复: Thank you for your review, Trudy. We are really sorry that your husband had to walk down to the house, and I apologised at the time. The gate entry code was installed early in the year for the protection of both ourselves and guests. We do have a system where your booking agents to send out the code to guests automatically two days before their arrival, but your visit was one of the first following inception and sadly the booking agent did not get it right on that occasion. The system is now well established and works perfectly. As you know, we have 15 acres of landscaped gardens and orchards here, which all need tending to. That is why we ask guests to only arrive between 6pm and 9.30pm unless you have arranged an earlier time of arrival with us. This way we can ensure there will always be someone to greet you. To back this up our land line plays a message asking people to ring a mobile number if the main telephone is not answered. We always have that mobile 'phone with us when away from the house. At the time of your arrival it was in fact the dogs barking that alerted us to your presence and caused us to return to the house as quickly as possible. We do hope to see you again soon and can reassure you that all the bugs are out of the system now! Best wishes, David.
