I had a wonderful stay at Sunshine Hotel this past summer. The employees were very friendly and welcoming throughout my stay. The hotel was overall pretty cleanly and I had access to hot showers which I was nervous about. I also had access to WiFi alongside a TV in my room. My personal favorite was the restaurant and its wide variety of choices that I would always look forward to by the end of the night. They also have free breakfast which was great but the city offers many cafes walking distance from the hotel. The location of the hotel is convenient as it’s only a few minutes walk from downtown. The hotel also had a Piano Bar which I only experienced once given that it’s only on Saturday’s, but it was a super popular event where they brought out live music to fuse R&B and Jazz along with the cultural Eritrean aspect and it was welcoming for all ages! Overall, I had a great stay and would recommend to those wanting to travel to Asmara in the future.
