Have to say we were very impressed with hotel. Staff were so friendly and couldn’t help us enough. Right beside the chair lift.

My daughter and I stayed this February and had the loveliest of visits. First and foremost- the staff were ALL absolutely amazing! They could not have been kinder or more caring. I damaged a knee on the first day and my daughter was poorly for two days, but throughout our stay, all the staff showed concern and respect of the utmost level. We had a lovely room looking over the village at the back - the view was fantastic! Some of the main dinner options were delicious - others were a little bland, but the buffet selection was very varied. We discovered it was best to get down early if you wanted a plain croissant as these went quickly and it might have been nice to have had boiled eggs once or twice instead of scrambled every morning! Despite these minor observations, I have to return to the primary and over arching impression which was led by the staff - they are all fantastic! Thank you Hotel Sauze! :))

Stayed with friends 9 of us in total, rooms are a little small, our room had an open single wardrobe, not big enough for 2 people's clothes, the shower room was large, but the towels were not changed all week. Staff are amazing, both serving in the restaurant and bar area. The food, breakfast, was very good, plenty of choice, as for the evening meal, plenty of salad selection, soups could do with a bit of seasoning and better flavour (bland), mains were small portions and usually came with cold potato wedges, most nights there was pasta as a choice for mains, could do with a better thought-out menu, mains were mostly lukwarm, meat skier was 2 bits of pork belly and 3 bits of saussage !!!! If you didn't eat the salad, you would go hungry. A few of our group only ate half the mains as they were not very appetizing. We didn't see the so-called chef until our last morning before we left at 6 am. He looked so scruffy, untidy, possibly not the cleanest looking, not sure of his standards, but not a high-quality chef, more like a backstreet cook. Other than that, the other staff were great, the hotel location was great, close to the lift, but a bit of a hike up hill from downtown. To sum up, you get what you pay for, cheap and friendly

Stayed 28th December 2025 to 4th January 2026. Family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teenagers) Great midrange hotel. Food was as expected - good enough but certainly not 4 star or above. Staff all very welcoming. Rooms comfortable and cleaned every day. Good bar doing afternoon tea at 4.00pm every day. Great location: 5 minute walk to Clotes chairlift piste, 3 minutes walk to the town. I would recommend it as a midrange hotel. There's not so many frills but you get what you pay for. If you are looking for a good value midrange and your expectations are realistic, this hotel is perfect.

Read some bad reviews about this place before I went via crystal ski for new year 25. I don’t know what some people expect from a 3* that is so cheap compared to Austria / France. The staff here couldn’t do enough for you. Max behind the bar, what a guy. The head waitress and the other waitresses were all so friendly and helpful and always tried to accommodate our fussy eating! Breakfast was very good. Always eggs, bacon, sausage and all the usual continental things. Loved the fruit tart! Left so full every morning! Diner was also good. We’re fussy and never left hungry. Don’t expect Michelin star from a 3* though. Rooms were actually quite big. The only downfall was the bathroom was a little tight. Drinks prices are very reasonable here and cheaper than Austria which I was shocked at. First time ever skiing in Italy. Location, couldn’t get any better. Probably one of the best locations here. 20 seconds from the bottom of the piste with a magic carpet up to the chairlift. A lot of of other hotels you had to walk up to the lift and Sauze is hilly. Also only a few mins walk from the bars and restaurants. I’d recommend this place and I will 100% be returning. Value for money here is excellent.

Hotel Sauze is in an excellent location for access to the slopes and lifts. The common areas of the hotel are good, a pleasnt bar and lounge with well thought out boot room and ski lodge. Food was excellent with a large comfortable dining room and very helpful and attentinve staff throughout reception, bar and restaurant. The only down side of the hotel is the room size which is bearly enough space to store luggage for two.

Stayed here 3rd week in January was very sceptical because of other reviews...party of 3 but all in single rooms which were descent but extremely pleasantly surprised overall. Location is superb in Sauzie 2 mins walk from bottom of the Clotes lift the right end of Sauzie town so quieter..Ghost bar is a must (really close)but ventured all the village really all pubs have a great atmosphere...cracking friendly resort felt right at home I would say the friendliest resort I've been to. Yeah 3 star so evening meal could be hit and miss but breakfast is superior to most hotels I've stayed in over the years. The staff here are unbelievably friendly and outgoing couldn't do enough for you 11/10 We've already booked for sestriere 2026 but would go back to Hotel Sauze in a heartbeat. Thank you for the memories.

We stayed in January 2025 and there was no problem with the drains. We travelled with Crystal Ski. The hotel is a great location for lift access, bars and village. Every member of staff in the hotel was very friendly and helpful, especially the restaurant manager. They work really hard. The food was typical for other 3* hotels we've stayed in Italy and there was a good choice. The bar area and drinks were lovely. The room and bed was very comfortable. We were on the 2nd floor. You can hear noise on the corridors but the room was quiet with a balcony and lovely view. The hotel is in a peaceful location considering the excellent location. The bathroom was tiny and outdated but it was clean and we had everything we needed. Our stay was excellent value for money. I would definitely stay again and would recommend too!
