There was a cockroach infestation in the bathroom. We saw 4 of them and reported it to the desk. Lukewarm response that it would be taken care of.

The waves was a great place to stay for a couple of days-convenient to most walkable attractions and the beach.
Staff was helpful and very cordial.
We would stay again for sure!

Okay but won’t be back
Front desk mislead us on how the street parking worked. We were supposed too get a tag with a permit on it and we had to wi d up asking for it because of the way the cars were parked in their lot. You had to leave your car key with the front desk and they would move your car, if necessary, which my husband didn’t want to do.
Bed was comfortable but the bathroom needed more cleaning I.e., faucets in both sink and shower needed better cleaning. Bathroom was floor was a little messy too. Ceiling panel above shower was rusty and water was coming up in shower when it was in use.

There are two completely different passes – one for our private lot and one for street parking. You chose to park at Tropicana Motel and then attempted to park on the street without asking us. At no point did you inform the front desk of these actions. Street permits do not automatically allow use of the lot, and the lot pass is not valid for the street – this is explained clearly. Suggesting otherwise is not accurate.Second, when you entered the lobby, you immediately demanded answers about parking in a rude manner, without even a greeting. We are always willing to explain policies and assist, but there is a respectful way to ask questions.Third, regarding valet-style parking: you asked what happens if there is an issue when staff moves a car. We are a large, professionally managed company and know exactly how to handle vehicles. This is standard practice in many hotels.Finally, while we acknowledge your comments on the bathroom and will remind housekeeping and maintenance teams to review faucets, flooring, and ceiling panels more closely, your remarks about parking were incorrect. Our staff provided correct information, and the confusion arose because you did not follow the process explained.We take pride in our operations and stand by the professionalism of our front desk.

Because of a convention being in town. All of the handicapped parking was used for hotel guests to sit in their lawn chairs and talk and eat. Lots of people congregated there making it extremely difficult to get to the front door. The staff really didn’t care. I left 2 days early because of parking difficulties. The girl at the desk promised she would call me back that day to let me know.After a few calls back and talking to various people who said they would call me back, still waiting. Terrible customer service by this hotel.

Bed was uncomfortable and walls very thin. Didnt get much sleep. Location was walking distance to the beach.

Rooms were clean, modern, and nice. No balconies at this place but the partner property next door does (Tropicana). The pool was small but heated which was really nice. Friendly helpful staff and very close to the boardwalk

The property was in a convenient location…walk a block to the boardwalk or walk to a nearby breakfast spot.
A few things about the hotel room itself that I did not like was…
1. No hooks anywhere to hang your towels! When you’re at the beach, you have a lot of towels and bathing suits that you need to dry off and there were no hooks anywhere!
2. The sink was super high up that my 7 year old had a hard time spitting into the sink!
3. The room was not “soundproof” as it had stated
4. There was no breakfast served! Just coffee.
The staff were very nice and friendly so I would stay here again because of the convenience and location. I would just bring my own clothes rack/line and hooks to hang up all the towels and bathing suits!
