Excellent hotel for the budget traveler. Likely the best red roof I have stayed at. Property is well maintained and room is roomy and well appointed (ex coffee machine). Deserves a very high rating!

We checked out of our hotel room this morning and came back as soon as we realized we left behind our medication in the fridge at the hotel. When we went into the front office, the attendant which happens to be the owner was extremely rude to us. Telling us he threw the insulin in the dumpster outside. The medication was clearly marked in the pharmacy bottles and should be known how expensive it is to replace. My husband had to get inside the dumpster to retrieve the meds, all the while the attendant told him he would call the police on him. We understand we left the medication behind and it was our fault but out of courtesy they could have held onto it for an hour or two to see if we would come back for it. Very unprofessional behavior, an apology would have been sufficient but the demeanor and rude attitude was uncalled for. We won’t be back.

No elevator - Put my personal information at risk.
My last experience with Red Roof Inn was in New Jersey 40 years ago. It was good. I came to North Houston due to a death in the family. I'm 73 and had to haul my bags up an outside stairwell with no elevator. A packet of Kleenex was the only amenity in the bathroom. The ice machine was outside downstairs - and I arrived after dark.
But was the worst, the attendant photocopied my drivers' license. That, along with my credit card, puts me a risk for identity theft. When I asked what they did with the license copies after payments were secured. He just kept saying what if someone else called in and claimed I posed as them. He could SEE I matched my ID.
I moved to the Hyatt the next night. Still want the photo copy of my ID destroyed.

Very clean rooms. I stayed here about 6 nights. Had extended my stay once and then left and came back for a 6th night. Both rooms were very clean. Only complaint was TV didn’t work in the second room when I came back for the night but that was ok.
