You will be fortunate indeed if you manage to get a booking here. This is a family-owned and family-run hotel above a beautiful, remote, sandy beach and operating to the highest standards. They have owned this palm-covered headland for many years but only in 2019 first opened a boutique hotel. There are 10 rooms – each spacious and luxurious. We had a wonderfully relaxing five-day stay. The food is outstanding and the staff welcoming and professional. If you enjoy birds, there is plenty to see, and the family is passionate about nature and wildlife. Cabo Serai is built on the side of a hill – quite a few steps getting up and down to your room, the dining area, the swimming pool etc. There's an organic vegetable garden, on-site yoga instructor, coconut palms and cashew trees. The views are sensational. It was a big treat to stay here.

Our recent stay at this hotel was truly memorable in so many ways. The location is simply unbeatable, perched in an area of natural beauty, surrounded by peaceful views and a sense of calm that’s hard to find elsewhere. The pool overlooking those scenic vistas is a dream! The rooms were not only comfortable but immaculately maintained by the housekeeping team, who went above and beyond every day. Their friendly greetings and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for. The chef also deserves praise for his kind demeanor and the wholesome meals prepared with evident love. The menu, though compact, reflects the resort’s serene and remote setting, focusing on freshness, local ingredients, and sustainability. The pre-order system ensures minimal waste and helps the kitchen prepare every dish thoughtfully. While service operates at a relaxed pace, it naturally complements the tranquil, unhurried spirit of the location, perfect for those looking to disconnect from the bustle of daily life and immerse themselves in slow living. Internet connectivity was slow at times but we were promptly given a wi-fi dongle when we mentioned it to the staff. We didn't use it much though and we found ourselves enjoying meaningful conversations, reading, and soaking in nature, a digital detox that left us feeling refreshed. The music at the lounge and restaurant during evenings created a perfect ambience. The team works hard across all departments, often multitasking due to the secluded setting, and while communication can occasionally be simple, their earnestness and hospitality come through once you take the time to connect with them. A must do experience is their Hill top sundowner. What a view and an absolutely amazing setup!! Trust me, you'll not regret doing this. Check out was smooth too with billing and taxes being transparently mentioned (including applicable service and GST components), and the front desk team is always happy to clarify any details. They even mentioned the service charge was optional but we were glad to pay for the excellent service we received during our stay. They even encourage open feedback at checkout, showing genuine interest in improving guest experiences. Overall, this retreat offers a chance to embrace nature’s rhythm, peaceful mornings, stunning sunsets, and a staff that’s dedicated to creating a calm, authentic, and eco-conscious atmosphere. Cabo Serai will definitely be on our list for a place to come back to whenever we are in Goa.

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. While there were some aspects we genuinely loved, there were also several consistent issues that affected our stay. To start with the positives: The pool and views are absolutely unreal – truly the highlight of the property. Our room was cleaned exceptionally well every day, and the housekeeping team were by far the warmest and most welcoming staff we encountered. They were friendly, polite, and always made us feel comfortable. The chef was also lovely, and the food itself was generally good. However, service in other areas was very disappointing. For several days in a row, items from our food orders were forgotten multiple times, and we often had to remind staff or wait significantly longer than expected. The evening menu became very repetitive, and the service was so slow that we eventually didn’t feel like dining there. We also were rarely offered drinks unless we specifically asked at dinner, which added to the overall feeling of poor service. You have to pre order your dinner, and the menu is small probably due to location challenges, but it feels very “canteen like” in the way you are served Unfortunately, most of the staff we interacted with were unwelcoming, cold, and not particularly friendly—rarely a smile, and not the level of hospitality you’d expect from a hotel of this standard. Another major issue was that we had no WiFi for the entire stay. This forced us to use our own mobile data to plan onward travel. When we asked about it, staff simply repeated the same password to us and didn’t seem to understand that the issue was with the connection itself. Finally, at checkout we were given a feedback form, which we completed honestly but fairly. It was disheartening to see the staff laughing at our feedback after taking the form from us. This left a very poor last impression. The staff asked if we can meet the manager later but we had a taxi waiting, and frankly, knew that nothing would change in relation to our billing. Overall, while the hotel has great potential thanks to its location, views, and lovely housekeeping team, the service and attitude of most staff need significant improvement for guests to feel truly welcomed and looked after especially with the location being so remote. We felt quite excited to get out of the resort as the energy felt quite off - the location was 10/10 but the staff made it feel less zen! A little music in the restaurant would have helped the ambience too! To note, expect 22% “tax” if you order from the bar - not clear why. As there is other 9% taxes also. Very untransparent billing, please check your bills each day as ours were wrong every single day!!!

A beautiful hotel overshadowed by service that feels deliberately exploitative. The location is breathtaking – the rooms, the views, the design – all genuinely impressive. But the service lets the whole place down. It often felt as though the hotel relies on its surroundings while taking advantage of its guests / tourists. CHECK YOUR BILLS – every single day. We had incorrect charges added daily, and even at checkout they’d slipped in a £45 service fee, including “service” on our pre-paid room?! Work that one out. I will be seeking a refund. One member of staff in particular stood out for all the wrong reasons. He was rude, created confusion on what was included or excluded from our package, and behaved as though we created work for him. He also seemed to be leading the team, which likely explains why this attitude / approach was so consistent across the board. If you’re charging big prices, make sure your staff are trained appropriately. Despite a long journey, check-in took 25 minutes even though we were the only ones waiting. Checkout was even stranger – we were made to complete a two-page feedback form before seeing our final bill. When we submitted honest (but fair) feedback, two staff members read it, laughed, and then handed over the bill. It was unprofessional and uncomfortable. The one genuinely positive experience was with the yoga teacher (Praveen) – a friendly, talented *** who clearly cared about what he was doing. His sunset walk was the highlight of the stay. Food was good but repetitive – across three nights we were essentially served the same menu with minimal variation. This hotel could be incredible. Instead, it hides behind its views while quietly exploiting its guests. Unless management addresses the culture and clarity around service, I wouldn’t recommend it.

酒店回复: Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. While we are truly pleased to know you appreciated the beauty of our location, design and the experience with our yoga teacher Praveen, we are very sorry to hear that several aspects of your stay fell short of expectations. At Cabo Serai, transparency is extremely important to us. All service charges are voluntary, and this is clearly informed at the time of billing as well as mentioned on our invoices. We regret if this was not communicated clearly during your stay, and we are reviewing this with the team to ensure absolute clarity for all guests. Regarding the billing concerns you mentioned, our team has looked into this and we can confirm that no additional charges were added. Any discrepancies that occurred would have been inadvertent, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. On the food experience, we would like to clarify that our menu changes daily, and we also offer fresh seafood sourced directly from local fishermen, depending on the catch of the day. We are sorry if this variety was not communicated or highlighted effectively during your stay. We also do not prepare food in advance and all dishes are prepared on order. You also raised a concern about two team members laughing during checkout. We take this very seriously. After reviewing the situation, we found that it was a misunderstanding and not connected in any way to the feedback you provided. Nonetheless, we have reiterated to our team the importance of maintaining professionalism at every moment, especially in guest-facing areas. Finally, we apologise for the inconsistency in service and any interactions that felt dismissive or unclear. This is not reflective of the standards we strive for. Your feedback has been shared with our leadership team, and we are addressing the areas of training and communication you highlighted. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We truly value your input as it helps us improve and deliver the experience we are committed to. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for a stay that reflects the warmth and care Cabo Serai is known for. Warm regards, Team Cabo Serai

We stayed 5 days at Cabo Sarai. The location is very nice direct at the coast, the way from the parking to the lodge has many steps, so be aware. We stayed in a cottage ( nr 6, the highest and therefor a great choice ). You will walk a lot in the lodge, up and down. Hoeever if you want call for one if the buggies and you will be picked up and brought to pool, beach, lounge or restaurant. The staff: outstanding, superfriendly !! The restaurant: excellent, breakfast lunch and dinners are fantastic quality and big choice . The cottage: inside beautiful, great bed and good bathroom/wc. The beds on the balcony with overhead fan are great to take a rest. The wifi is working very well in the room. However several things nees to be improved to give it a 5 out of 5. Outside the cottage several balcony planks have rotten spots, thet should be better maintained as well as the showerfloor in the bathroom. At pool and beach the quality of the sunbeds is not up to standard, at the poolside no umbrella’s and on the beach very old rusted ones. But in spite of these things to improve we had a fantastic stay!!

The stay was beautiful, we loved the view! But there are a few things that were bothersome.
Firstly, there were a lot of large ants in the bathroom. We called the reception to resolve this multiple times.
The food was fresh and tasty but the quantity is too less. The main course is like a mini snack in terms of quantity.
The staff are hospitable. The beach is quite private. The pool was clean. Overall a good stay

We stayed in one of the luxury cottages and for me they definitely lived up to their name. The rooms are fantastic with a separate lounge area with open views across the forest and down over the sea. a very tranquil place to be. The restaurant had a good menu that changed everyday serving some very tasty dishes. There was a separate community lounge area for chilling in the evenings. The infinity pool was fab and beautifully maintain as were all of the hotel grounds. The hotel is remote and some might find it challenging to reach as there is a long steep walk down from where the taxi drops you off, however the hotel staff will carry your bags and they have golf buggies to pick you up at the bottom and take you up to the hotel (its not far but again it is quite steep).
