I stayed a total of 3 nights at Gaida Lodge and enjoyed every bit of it. First of all the room was spacious and clean, and the food was great. Second the staff was incredibly helpful and polite. The manager, Deepak, handled everything from booking my bus ticket to taking my food order to making sure my laundry get done in time perfectly, and always with a smile! The lodge arranged a 5-day birding trip for me led by the founder, Mr Tika Ram Giri (one of the top bird guides in Nepal) and his assistant Bishnu, and it was an incredible experience. We encountered more than 200 species during the trip including rarity such as Indian Grassbird and West Himalayan Bush Warblers. If you are a keen birder, you are gonna love the lodge, because the garden is regularly visited by Indian Pied Hornbills, woodpeckers and barbets, just to name a few!

Loved the beautiful and well kept grounds. It was nice to come back and relax in the patio after a long day of exploring. They also have a full kitchen making it convenient to have meals here - food was great. The staff were very professional, attentive, and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. We booked our excursions through the lodge and found the activities we booked to be fun priced fairly. Great location and overall great experience. Would definitely book here again!
