We stayed last time in the suites in the Inn itself - I would recommend that over the cottages which we stayed in this time. Everything about the White Barn is special - so the cottage was still lovely - just not as fancy or luxe as the suite and more expensive but if you do choose the cottage, note that you will have some issues using the bathrooms to get ready to go out - the space is tight at least in the cottage we were in, which was the Tern. Overall the main thing about White Barn is the staff. They are beyond lovely, personable, eager to please. If I had a dollar for every time someone on the staff stopped us to wish my husband a happy birthday, I would be a very wealthy lady! Over all a wonderful place

My husband and I vacation at Auberge resorts every year because the design, service, and experience are so great. The White Barn Inn makes you feel so special. When I made requests, they were attended to immediately with care and personalization. They double upgraded us to a stunning fireplace suite with a soaking tub... I could stay in that room for the rest of my life! There are so many precious details about staying here. The pictures don't do it justice and anyone who hates on this place is totally jaded! I'll just stay if you want to be completely and utterly taken care of, Auberge is the answer.

The White Barn Inn lived up to it's reputation. It's a comfortable Inn with a friendly, attentive staff at all levels. We were celebrating a wedding anniversary and overall experience exceeded expectations. The room was clean and comfortable and had a Maine inn cozy feel. The dining experience in the White Barn Restaurant was very special and the perfect way to celebrate.

Every review you have read about the service at this hotel is accurate. I travel quite a bit and the service we received here is one of the best experiences I've had. From the moment we pulled in to the moment we left. The valet, front desk, restaurant staff / every employee was there to help. We stayed in a garden room. It was fine for a one night stay but if we would have stayed longer I would have stayed in a larger room as it is a bit on the small side. But very well appointed. There was a fire pit right outside our room which was really nice. At check in they ask how you like your tea/coffee and what time you would like it delivered. And right on time the next morning a cute little basket arrived with tea, coffee and pasties. It was a really nice touch as it was freezing while we were there so the hot tea in the morning was perfect. We had dinner in the hotel at the white barn and it was AMAZING. The restaurant was beautifully for Fall and we were there on Octoberfest so they had a special menu and little band playing. We had breakfast in little barn the next morning and it was very good. They do have a selection of Mercedes they lend out and we took one to drive around Kennebunkport and explore a little (our rental car was awful)The town is only a minute away from the hotel.I researched a bunch of hotels thoroughly before settling on the White Barn Inn for a night and Cape Arundel Inn for 2 nights. White Barn has a very quaint and cozy feel to it. Cape Arundel was waterfront and had a completely different vibe and I am glad we got to experience both
