Alexis at the front desk is very rude and seems like she doesnt want to be at work. Besides the minor inconvenience, the hotel was good overall.

Candlewood/ IHG You are hereby warned… This place was not that clean. Moreover do not trust the staff! I was a day sleeper and a housekeeper used the locking latch of the door instead of a door stopper and let the door slam close appropriately ten times within a couple minutes waking me up. When I asked them to keep the noise down the response was “I have to hurry”. The house keeper called their boss and told them I cussed them out. The manager called me and after a quick conversation hung up on me. I got dressed to go try and resolve this matter face to face at the front desk. When leaving the room the staff was still being loud after asking them to be quiet. I took a video of this. Upon talking with the manager downstairs she barely payed me any attention regarding this issue. When I showed her the video she stated “we have had to ask her many times to be quiet”. I reached out to guest relations and asked for an investigation into this since they have “audio and video” of the incident. Guest relations reply was “we will notate the event”. Long story short they contacted my HR department at work and I was fired. You are not a customer at this hotel. Pay your bill and whatever happens here is your fault. Do not reach out to guest relations either they will not resolve the issue. I have stayed at countless hotels and man camps and have never treated this way

****WARNING - DO NOT TRUST THE STAFF**** Noisy house keepers when you are trying to sleep. After asking them to be quiet they tell their manager I cussed them out. I talked to what I believe was the assistant manager and she didn’t care what I had to say. I asked for a review to clear my name at work since they have audio and video at this facility. They failed to review this and I was fired from my job because of this. DO NOT TRUST THE STAFF HERE….I will send the report and audio to anyone who really wants to see a full detail of events and how customers are treated here. I contacted IHG customer service and they said the “manager” said I was the problem. If they did a review as I had asked they would clearly see I was not. Customer service has really gone down to nothing these days….. really sad

Vanessa abbott does not pay us when we’re suppose to get paid she pays us whenever she wants to it not right we’re usually supposed to pay to get paid on Mondays she don’t pay us until the next day this is ridiculous get it together there is insects here skunks snakes flying roaches everywhere this places needs better management because the ones they have now ain’t worth nothing

front desk Aaliyah seems as if she doesn’t want to do her job she’s always texting or talkin on the phone with the AirPods maybe why she can’t hear the desk she has a very slick mouth I won’t be returning very uncomfortable beds feels very hard on your back housekeeping is always very loud slamming door maintenance is never anywhere to be found hiding in rooms doing nothing but making tho gs worse I truly feel they really don’t know what there doing they say the fix the ac come back to your rooms is worse than at first never in dress code either housekeeping and maintenance be wearing there regular work clothes

hotel dirty and loud front desk doesn’t like moving guest if there is a problem in the room they rather you sleep in heat this is ridiculous they don’t care not one bit gm acts like she’s all about the guest once there is a problem she is no where to be found but in her office texting or talking on the phone they cheat you on hours here and your point sign ups never get paid on time and they don’t care either this is ridiculous

Guest come here sells pills to employees they hire felons here manager only hires people who she knows isn’t gonna snitch and tell there business they give anyone rooms here for low prices and the ones they don’t like high prices treat guest very unfairly they hardly have any employees for the simple fact they pick and choose needs better management always talking about there leaving haven’t left yet housekeepers takes pills maintenance all of them they fire us then when we file for unemployment they say they never fired us when it’s on recording rooms have mold stink ac never works rooms are hot and very noisy

the manager of this business is very awesome. I returned back after being in west Texas she left a welcome back note what made it special was it was handwritten Amanda goes out of her way to accommodate me and my crew. The employees are very helpful and friendly. She is running a great establishment. Great job Candlewood

First room they sent me to was dirty and I think people were still using it. Front desk clerk was put out when I asked for another room. Next room’s TV was not working. Front desk line was busy all evening, so did without a TV. Window AC unit was leaking water, carpet was wet out in front of it. This hotel has not put any money back into itself. Overall very dingy.

Due to the poor customer service and speciffically the terrible manager of this candlewood suites I will not stay in another. Had been at hotel for long stay (over one month) I checked out because of a verbal argument with manager of botle shampoo. Hope you realize not only took my business to another hotel, I removed my patronage from Kenedy, TX and county. As a business traveler 200+ nights annually I not only report this hotel management to public, but ihg will lose my business.
