Weve stayed here before and rated it 4 or 5, this time, not so much. We were in room 308 a king suite. The bed was not comfortable at all. It seemed worn out or very stiff. It felt like we were sleeping on a box spring. There was a sheet a bedspread and one very thin blanket. The AC was on 57 when we arrived so we opened the window to warm it up in the room. At 3 am we woke up and the thermostat was down to 61 again and we were freezing. The whole thing just seemed a little “off”. We will probably try it again sometime, but it just didn’t stand out to us like it did in the past.

Shower floor was slippery. Water wouldn’t drain so one person didn’t get shower. Pet area was disgusting. People didn’t clean up after dogs

We stayed while we were at a week of county 4-H fair. With the exception of one employee the staff was very friendly and very accommodating.
We would leave early in the morning and arrived back at the hotel after supper hours. We left one of the two cars we arrived in, at the hotel and had no problems with anything being messed with or damaged. If we needed something after we got back to the hotel towels, soap, etc. they were very good with getting them for us. We enjoyed our stay and the friendly, helpful staff. It made the long hours of showing livestock go smoothly.

Friendly staff and clean. Enjoyed being in the countryside but close to the interstate. The surrounding farmland is beautiful. The only drawback was road construction which has nothing to do with the hotel!

There was construction, but obviously not the hotel's fault. What was shocking was when we asked the girl at the desk how to get back on I-90 since the ramp going West was closed. She didn't know. Here excuse: "I just moved here (from Sioux Falls) in April." Really? We finally figured it out ourselves after asking the host at Pizza Ranch, who also didn't know directions because she just moved to Hartford in May.

Gem of a Hotel
Fabulous staff, clean, comfortable, well maintained room and hotel. There is road construction in the area, but that did not impact my stay. I'd definitely stay again!

Road construction makes it a bit difficult to get in and out of the property at this time, but that is not the fault of the hotel.
