The location is fantastic and the room was good. However service was horrible. On my first morning I tried to order breakfast and was told I had to wait an hour to even put in an order the reason was we are busy. It was not the reason, the real reason is that the hotel is woefully understaffed. I cannot imagine telling a guest at your hotel they have to wait an hour to place an order for breakfast at 10 a.m. On New Years Day a cruise ship was in and the passengers on the cruise had vouchers for drinks, again I waited over an hour to place and order for a sandwich which too over 45 minutes to arrive. I felt bad for the lady working as she was the only one working with at lease 20-25 people with their free vouchers. Unfortunately for me it was a holiday and the other restaurants nearby were closed. Check out was at 12 and my flight was at four so needless to say I got nothing to eat prior to checking out and leaving for my flight. Management has to do better it is the worse experience I have ever had.

I could see the water from the room, but there was mostly the view of the roof of the lower level. Reception staff was terrible. I had put in a request for a tea kettle and some coffee for the morning since I was checking out before the restaurant opened. She told me they could not accommodate that. I had two big heavy bags and no assistance was offered to help me get my bags to my room. I felt like I was an inconvenience.

The bathroom was not as clean as it could’ve been in the beginning as well as the bedding on the bed. Also we had various technical problems accessing the tv etc. For the price paid, the facilities should have been at a higher standard

This is a no-frills hotel. The room was small, without a jug of water or kettle/tea. You have to pay an exorbitant price at the bar if you want water or tea. The beach is small with some black sand. The staff were impolite. Better not ask them anything. The best thing about my room was the view of the beautiful Young Island from the balcony, although a big almond tree blocked half my view. The Friday night BBQ was good. Not a place I would want to return to.

Third time staying here. I think it is the best value for the money in the Villa stretch. Again, I would double check on the beds available in the room booked. This one was listed as two twins and I asked if it could be put together into a King and they said it was already a King. The ******* website is frequently wrong in their listings of beds. Having Carib Beans behind the hotel is a big plus. Also, the hotel has started handing out 10% coupons to Carib Beans if you stay there.

I would give the hotel 5 stars except that some of the rooms are misrepresented in *******. The Superior Double Room clearly says 2 King Beds on the ******* website, but there is in fact only 1 King Bed. This needs to be fixed on the ******* website. They were accommodating in that they separated the King into 2 Twins for us, but when you were expecting Kings it is a bit deflating.

Decent place and home to the 82% alcohol rum. Nice view of the Young Island where Johnny Depp stayed while filming Pirates of te Caribbean. He got so drunk on the rum he destroyed the hotel snd they made him stay on a yacht. Pleasant and relaxing place with a small beach.
