We spent one night in the "smallest room in the Berkshires" and wish we had been able to stay longer. We arrived in the evening and checked out in the morning but got a comfortable and quiet night of sleep and enjoyed walking to get some breakfast before heading home. We hope to return when we have time for a proper visit to the area.

The Chambery Inn is cozy (with gas fireplaces), unique (former 19th century schoolhouse), and ideally located in Lee (close to Lenox and Stockbridge). We had a nice continental breakfast, from a sizable selection, brought to our room in a basket. We look forward to staying at The Chambery Inn again.

We had a wonderful and unique experience staying at the Chambery Inn for 3 nights. Perfectly located for a walk in town, shopping, or getting a bit to eat. The breakfast basket each morning was perfect for us and it was delicious. We also were very happy with our room as it was spacious and lovely furnished. Great stay.

Excellent all around. We stayed in the L’Aubusson room, one of at least two rooms which were converted from 19th century schoolrooms. It was spacious, charming and had a special sense of place with the chalkboard running one side of the room and a large roll-up desk on the other. The inn is run smartly with unobtrusive service that is right there when you need it, but otherwise out of sight. Location was central to cultural activities, close to Lenox and an easy twenty minute drive to Stockbridge or Great Barrington. The Main Street of Lee is itself a treasure.

We had a great stay at the Chambery Inn this past 4th of July weekend! Check in was easy, everything was clean, the room was quiet and just overall adorable. We had a nice time lounging in the picturesque front lawn in the sun! Would definitely stay here again

What a find! This is now by far our favorite place to stay when visiting the Berkshires - we visit twice a year, and we've paid more - so it will be our go-to home away from home. Our room was spacious and beautiful, great windows, 14-ft high ceilings, with extremely comfortable furnishings, nice bathroom & jetted bath. The chalk boards from the original schoolroom with a lot of history from other visitors was a great vibe. The breakfasts were brought to our door when and how we wanted them. And Bob and Olia were fantastic hosts, sharing the unique history of the inn and offering many recommendations. Lee is also a lovely small walking town, and a perfect jumping-off point for the rest of the Berkshires. Can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful stay. We booked last minute and it was amazing! We were able to book the room with jacuzzi and a fireplace—which made the whole stay so romantic. Will recommend and am planning to visit regularly. Hoping to return in the fall but definitely next spring. This family works hard and takes pride in their Inn and it shows in every inch of the grounds. Loved every minute!!

We stayed at the Chambery Inn this weekend. It was beautifully maintained, clean, a great location, easy/contactless check in and check out. We were asked our wine preference and a delicious bottle of red wine was waiting for us. It was also great to see some of the pieces of the schools history maintained and fun reading all the notes left on the chalk boards by previous guests. There was keurig machine in our room and outside in the hallway as well as an espresso machine, both fully stocked with lots of great options! We happened to be there over Memorial Day weekend so had a nice view of the parade sitting right outside of the Inn! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful experience. Bed was incredibly comfortable, the breakfast delicious. Love that the building was a former school, and there are blackboards on the walls! They have complimentary bikes to tool around town in, and great recommendation for local attractions and restaurants.
