Stayed in a family room which had an upstairs kids found that great. If travelling woth little ones there is no safety feature on the stairs. We requested on childs bed to be made up when we arrived no childs bed. Went to reception, they helped us get the bed out and provided bedding set, then we had to make the bed ourselves. We had breakfast quality of the food was great and very tasty. Unfortunately the brealfast room its self was very cold. Room was also cold in spite of the heating being on. No blackout curtains either so lots of light coming in. Room very spacious. Bed and pillows her comfortable. Room was ok, hotel a little dates and tired. Overall not put off staying again other than the price, not really worth the higher price.

While the building itself shows considerable signs of age and would benefit from a much needed refurbishment, the standard of cleanliness throughout is notably high. Located immediately adjacent to the A5, the site is subject to constant traffic noise, which is compounded by very poor internal soundproofing. Doors are not fitted with soft-close mechanisms, resulting in frequent loud slams, and conversation or movement in neighbouring rooms is easily audible. The car park and driveway are extremely poorly lit, posing potential safety concerns after dark. Bedrooms are sparsely equipped: only wall-mounted hand soap is provided in the bathroom, and guests are advised to bring their own toiletries. Curtains allow in a great deal of light due to the absence of blinds, and TV remote controls are unreliable, often requiring replacement batteries. There is no lift or in-room telephone system, which limits accessibility and convenience. A communal lounge area offers a microwave, crockery, cutlery, reading materials, and a television, which is a welcome amenity for those bringing their own food. Despite its tired condition, the property delivers fair value within its price bracket and may suit travellers seeking a short, low-cost stay with minimal expectations.

An unexpected lovely hotel. We booked for 3 nights with friends for a local event. Lovely big room with comfortable bed and a good bathroom. Plenty of parking space.Great quality towels. Plenty of storage . All the staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast in very pleasant dining area. Attentive and lovely staff who went the extra mile to come in an hour early over the weekend. Very much appreciated. Good value for money. Very clean and comfortable. Wish they still had a bar at hotel.
