My family and I stayed at La Quinta in Woodward, OK for the holidays, and the experience was incredibly disappointing from the start. When we arrived, the front desk told me I had three separate reservations—even though I only made one booking. It was frustrating and time-consuming to get that sorted out.
Before choosing this hotel, I even called ahead to confirm that the pool was open, as that’s the main reason we pick certain hotels for our kids. I was told it was open and fully operational. However, when we tried to take the kids swimming, the pool was ice cold—so cold that my kids wouldn’t even get in. I would not consider that “operational” by any standard.
During our entire stay, our room was never cleaned. No fresh towels, no trash taken out, nothing. On top of that, the bathtub was stained brown and had white flakes peeling off—completely unacceptable for a hotel charging regular rates.
Breakfast wasn’t any better. The food was cold, and the juice they served was expired. At that point, it was clear that attention to cleanliness and guest comfort was lacking across the board.
Overall, we were very dissatisfied with our stay and will be taking our business elsewhere in the future. I hope management addresses these issues for the sake of future guests.

Room 304–negative =paint peeling off the wall, cracks in the ceiling. The floor could use a good scrubbing. The tv cable wasn’t hooked up to the wall jack—had to move the tv stand to accomplish this. The tv remote was missing-went to the lobby to get another but it didn’t work either. The mattress was stained.Positives= staff was friendly and overall very quiet night.

Everything was decent not the best but decent. Was not satisfied with checking in Friday evening and leaving Sunday had no WiFi and no Internet. Was not given a partial refund or anything…. Very aggravating I guess you get what you pay for.

The room was super clean, staff super nice, breakfast awesome, bed & pillows great for an awesome good night of sleep, and pet friendly for our 2 spoiled fur babies. Will definitely stay there again & will highly recommend it to everyone.

I booked a room here based on all the positive online reviews. When I entered my room there was hair all over the bathroom floor. The toilet also had hair on it along with urine behind the toilet seat. There was a dirty wash cloth still hanging on the shower curtain rod and the tub was not cleaned. I never had to leave a review like this, but I do feel people should not be mislead by reviews that do not represent the truth. The microwave handle along with the refrigerator were also not cleaned. It is obvious they do not have a very good level nor care for cleanliness.

Would not recommend
In the past this hotel has been pretty good. We have stayed here before. But this time the only good thing I have to say is that the staff was friendly. Our room was not very clean - a lot of dust in the closet area and on the shower rail like the maids only clean in the spots that are super visible. The shower also had a very dirty head. There were also spiders in the bottom of the pool. The breakfast was absolutely disgusting - cold eggs and bacon - hard biscuits. Our 2nd day we went somewhere and paid for breakfast rather than eating there again. We come to Woodward a few times a year and we will think twice before coming back.

No employee to check us in so we left. Never got through the lobby. Waited and searched for an employee but never found one. Holliday Inn express was staffed and accommodating.
