We booked this last minute due to us travelling around the island on a motor bike. Helen’s was a wonderful host. She re arranged things to give us the room we requested. We would 100% recommend staying here.

I visited Leo hotel in July and I am beyond pleased with the hospitality, cleanness, kindness of the staff and overall it was a great experience! Will definitely be back!! I recommend it to everyone . Madam Eleni was a great host and her daughter was also a delight ! The gave me instructions and shared with me all the local places besides the known „tourist traps“

The hotel property is a beautifuly restored very old mansion with its historical character well maintained. Each room is unique with patches of original stonework and timber, while at the same time having modern bathroom facilities. The location was perfect for walking around the center of the lovely town. IiIn addition, the owner was very personable and helpful.

A very warm welcome when we arrived. Quick and efficient check in. The room was tastefully decorated and very clean. The location is in the heart of the old town so no more than a couple of mins walk all the main tourist sights. There are no place to park but that is only to be expected when you book any hotel in the heart of the old town. How ever there are 3 car parking places all within 5 mins walk of the hotel.

We recently enjoyed a fabulous 5 night stay at the Leo Hotel and we absolutely loved it. What a fabulous location, right in the heart of the old town of Rethymno. It's so lovely to be able to step out of the door and straight into the little streets and alleyways of this beautiful old town, with plenty of lovely restaurants, bars and shops to choose from. In spite of being so central, it was quiet in the hotel and we slept very well. The hotel itself is a former Venetian residence and it far exceeded our expectations. Our room was large and beautiful, beds were comfortable and all was kept spotlessly clean. Breakfast can be purchased whenever you want it, it is good value, very tasty and plentiful! We had hired a car and we always managed to find a free parking space around the fortress which is just 5 mins walk away. Best of all is the warm welcome you will receive from Eleni and Richard and team. They are just fantastic. Eleni gave us tips for the best beaches and places to visit. She even helped me in my quest to learn Greek!! What a fantastic stay, get it booked, you won't regret it! Thanks so much. Don't forget to come and visit us in Devon one day. Love Louise and Ben xx

Stop in the Leo Cafe, part of Leo hotel. Had a small lunch, toasted sandwich and a baguette. Baguette toasted: aka burnt: nasty processed ham inside. Coffee au lait made with UHT milk (unpleasant) Then over charged!
