The facility is beautiful. And they have a wonderful indoor Pool and two wonderful restaurants. The Walking, trails are Fantastic and You Feel Like You Are Walking Inside a postcard , the golf course is of prime quality. There are other activities like the zoo which has amazing exotic, almost extinct animals that I have not seen in any other zoo.
They have very nice pickle ball and tennis courts.
The rooms are very spacious and clean, and the construction of the building is mostly oak.

The family and I had a great time. The food at the Skylight was excellent. The rooms could be more updated for the price but overall it was a decent experience.

Wonderful place to get away. Plenty of trails and walking paths, three golf courses, museum, and much more. Highly recommend!

Rooms were lacking in an outside view. Would have much preferred rooms with a decent view. We were in 206 & 208, in the original west wing.

Beware!!
Beautiful property and facility. Didn’t get to stay long enough to enjoy it. Had major issues with original room ad we were moved to a smaller less desirable location and room. This one had no sitting area or fridge and the shower had empty dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and bath gel. Management did not respond to my communication. Thought we might get a discount of some sort for all the issues and problems-NOPE!! Unresponsive!!

No ac working and no one fixed it but very nice
The resort was beautiful, we especially loved the treatment we received from most of the staff especially the cleaning staff we had as well as the restaurant staff they were fantastic. The complaint I have is we had no ac in our room both nights of our stay- we had to extend our stay one more night and asked to have the ac fixed but nothing was ever done the room was extremely hot and the only time someone seemed interested was when we checked out the nice lady at checkout apologized and said she would have it looked at. We were told by front desk both times we asked they would send maintenance but no one ever fixed it and it was unbearable to try and sleep.

I had never been to Oglebay in the summer. Everything was beautiful, the flowers were amazing. I stayed in a Chalet, they are a hit dates but I didn’t mind. I was allowed to check into the room 1/2 hour early. I had a meeting I needed to take so letting me do this was very much appreciated.
