Friendly professional staff, lovely food i had the muscles for dinner and the English breakfast in the morning that was really nice. Well run bar with an open fire and pool table, plenty of space and different seating areas depending on if you want a quiet pint or to make a new friend. Had a few pints with the owner, top man. Leiston itself is really nice very friendly locals up for a laugh. The White Horse also has live music fridays and open mic on Sundays, hopefully i’ll be back soon to get up and join in, see you soon. Kenny

I was looking for a room in the Leiston area when I came across The White Horse. As soon as I walked in, I felt a sense of warm homecoming. The main building (1792) felt like putting on a favorite jacket. The place was quiet, it was barely noon. I walked into the bar room, roaring log fire! I was greeted by Becky, huge smile. She offered me a choice of rooms, all reasonable. I chose a room and was graciously shown to my accommodation by housekeeping staff-very helpful and friendly. The room, in an annexed building was virtually brand new. Extremely comfortable and lovely and warm. Later on, and during my stay I met the rest of the staff and the owner, Toby. I was made to feel like part of an extended family. I ate a lot of the menu, all excellent home cooked food that would make any Mama proud. I had a wonderful experience staying there. To finish up, would I recommend it? Hello, I want to live there!

I take my daughter and granddaughter here for a meal a few times each year and the food is always delicious and excellent service. The bar and service staff are always lovely. They change the main meal menu often so there is always something different to try.

5 of us had an evening meal. Everyone had something different and all were pleased with them. I had a delicious vegetarian cottage pie with vegetables. Desserts were also great, pancakes, ice cream and my apricot frangipane tart. Staff were friendly and gave good of service. If we were in the area again we would certainly eat here.

While a bit pricey .had a room with nice comfortable bed would have liked a nice armchair, single glazed windows, a bit noise from traffic main Rd. Clean and tidy .Breakfast was expensive as it didn't include a hot drink. The young man who was the check in receptionist waiter for breakfast was quite jolly .we had a room 2nd floor very steep stairs not suitable for any one with walking difficulties. Would stay again.

The twin room we were allocated was small with no wardrobe and very cold. The ensuite was next door out on the corridor. We asked to be moved and had to pay an extra 40 pounds.
That room was much better.

Helpful staff, quite pleasant restaurant, good location for visiting Aldeburgh and surrounding area. Room very small, not what we thought we had booked. ******* room description misleading.

Thank you for your kind words about our staff and restaurant. We like to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
