We have been regular Crackenback visitors for countless years. First as a couple, then as a family and now as grandparents with a family. Such a stunning venue with so much to offer - activities, amazing food, pampering spa treatments and general peace and tranquility - deserves accompanying 5 star service and equivalent maintenance, which (thanks to OAKS) it now has. Thank you for saving this Australian gem of a resort. We have built memories here for 20 of our family members, which will never be forgotten.

I had fond memories of the Lake Crackenback resort from decades ago and wanted to take my son (adult) there. I booked a 2-bedroom lake view. We arrived at 430 pm and was given our villa – after unpacking we noticed it had no aircon and was 35C. So, I asked to move. Assurances were given by reception. Villa 2. One air conditioning unit downstairs and the upstairs bedroom no aircon or even a fan. It was like a sauna - around 50C in the bedroom I was expected to sleep in. So again, I asked to move. Assurances were given this Villa was new and of the highest standard; indeed, it was pointed out it was in a higher category. At this stage we had wasted hours. Villa 3. One aircon unit and the bedrooms downstairs (with a fan) but incredibly hot. We had been assured they turned on the aircon and fans and assured all would be good. One hour later and the bedrooms were so hot, we went searching and discovered the heater was on in the bedroom, as with the heated floors in the bathroom and laundry. We were exasperated and had lost total faith in the staff. Plus, as so much time had elapsed, it was out of hours and there were signs everywhere they would charge you for contacting reception unless it was an emergency. Whilst we were very, very hot and uncomfortable, it was not an emergency. We didn’t sleep due to the excruciating heat. My son got up and thought he’d have a shower to cool down and found the biggest clump of hair in the shower and mould so chose not to. Even the fire place had cobwebs ( photos included) After a sleepless night we thought we’d cut our losses and leave. Of course, being exhausted meant we could not enjoy the beautiful scenery or activities. We reached for coffee in the room as they supplied a Nespresso machine - but hello - not one pod was supplied - just small sachets of powder coffee. How ridiculous!! We went to breakfast that was included in what we paid. The buffet was minimal and desperate for coffee was told the coffee provided was in a jug- but no mugs were to be seen. I found out a barista coffee came with an extra charge of $6.09 - and had to be paid upfront (pay first - a must on their part) so I ordered a long black with hot milk on the side. After an interminable time, she came, apologised for the delay and gave me the coffee in a chipped cup and a tall glass of cold milk. I said I only ordered a small hot milk on the side, so she left and brought back a small glass of cold milk. I gave up at this stage! Even the most basic of things requested ignored. Not a big deal on its own but the cumulative experiences we had at the Oaks Lake Crackenback Resort show were consistently abysmal. So I checked out early and gave reasons for this. I also asked if they could ring me about my life saving medication bag that had been lost or stolen since arriving at the property. The receptionist said she’d look at the cctv and call me - I’ve heard nothing. Clearly not a priority. I then asked reception for a refund for the night we

We loved our 4 night stay at 8 snowshoe. The accommodation was outstanding, it was very clean and felt brand new. It had great kitchen facilities, a wonderful shower, comfortable beds and everything we could’ve asked for with a wonderful view of the lake. We will be back! We hired bikes and ate at cuisine, and everything was outstanding, including breakfast every day with exceptional staff at every turn. My Massage with Kelly was outstanding

Located between Jindabyne and Thredbo, The Oaks Crackenback Resort is an ideal place for your next break. The peaceful surroundings envelop any busyness and replace it with calm and tranquillity. There are many activities included in the stay (golf, tennis, archery and canoeing), The restaurant buffet breakfast offers a good variety, and the dinner was superb. Staff were friendly and worked efficiently to accommodate us. The resort is close to many walking trails and bike tracks. The villa had splendid views of Crackenback Ridge and the lake within the grounds.
和朋友们一起度过了一个特别的生日周末，有鹿、山地自行车道和朋友们的陪伴。酒店在非营业时间也提供了非常周到的服务，帮我们解决了钥匙问题（好几次！），还提供了无线网络（需要主动索取）。单间公寓大小合适，但如果没有空调的话，最好能配备一台风扇。
离skitube很近，滑雪住还行，就是卫生还是差点
