酒店回复: Thank you for your detailed review and kind words about our food and staff! We're glad you enjoyed the breakfast, dinner, and bar experience. We also appreciate your honest feedback regarding the room and bathroom condition. We're sorry for any inconvenience caused by noise and will look into ways to improve your comfort. We hope to welcome you back for an even better stay in the future!
I'd requested & was allocated a top / 2nd floor room. No lift. Room 17 is located on the corner of the building which looks onto East Hill, a very busy road. The train station is a 5 mins. steepish uphill walk. Room : carpeted, plenty of storage, very comfy bed, T&C-making facilities, including milk sachets, but no fridge, shower (poor quality) over bath, low water pressure. Wall-mounted shower gel & shampoo. The sink overflow was blocked. There is a heated towel rail which wasn’t working during the period of my stay. Staff : friendly & efficient. Food : breakfast is all table-service. Plenty of choice, good quality & served on heated plates. I had dinner on 1 evening which was also very good. Sadly the centre of St. Austell itself is rather shabby & I encountered some very unsavoury characters during my stay.

酒店回复: Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review – we really appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear you enjoyed your 4-night stay with us. It’s great to know you were comfortable in your room and found the bed, storage, and breakfast offerings to your liking. We're also pleased you experienced friendly and efficient service throughout your visit, and that you enjoyed the dinner you had with us. We’re sorry to hear about the issues with the shower and heated towel rail – we’ve passed these on to our maintenance team to investigate and resolve. Your note about the sink overflow is especially helpful and we appreciate you pointing that out. Regarding the local area, we understand your concerns. St Austell is a working Cornish town with a unique character, and while some areas are undergoing regeneration, we do recognise that it may not be to everyone’s taste. Thank you again for staying with us, and for your honest and helpful feedback. We hope to welcome you back again in the future. Warm regards, The White Hart Hotel Team

I am just preparing to check out after a 2 night stay and I wantednto take the time to give the team here a huge bug up for their excellent care, attention and customer service during my stay. In particular to Andrew who was front of house and the lovely ladybwho looked after us at breakfast, their level of service was excellent. Its been a miserable week of heavy rain and high winds, but this team has been a beacon in what otherwise would have been a gloomy time. The accommodation is good and the breakfasts on offer were incredible value for money. The chef in the evenings produced some wonderful salads. It can't be easy for a winter team to keep things buzzy and professional when there aren't many guests and visitors around....and the weather is awful, but these guys were F.A.B.U.L.O.U.S! Thankyou.

We loved this hotel. Our room was spacious and spotlessly clean (beds are very very comfy!) Staff are super friendly and cannot do enough for you. The food at the pub is great, breakfast has a wide range of options, we also had dinner here which I would recommend. The fan in our room broke on our first night and by mid morning the next day we had a new one, just brilliant service. We will definitely be back!

The staff were great - friendly, welcoming, accommodating and efficient. We felt well looked after during our stay. We had dinner at the hotel a couple of evenings and thought the food was very good. The White Hart is an excellent base for visiting Heligan, Eden Project, etc. (especially for non-drivers like us) and when we weren't out and about we found the bar and lobby area a congenial spot to spend time. The centre of St Austell itself looks a bit shabby these days, with a lot of shops closed down, which was a bit sad to see. We hope things pick up for the town soon.

The staff were very friendly. The room, although clean, was so out dated. Mould, broken blinds in bathroom, as good as useless shower, lio seat tbat moved when you sat on it abd very small. The area is very deprived. Speaking with locals they reported crime, ***** and drunks. Did not feel safe to walk out in the evening.

We stayed here for three nights, we chose this based on reviews and location as we were going to a concert at the Eden Project. The staff were super friendly and helpful right from check in. The rooms were fairly nice and they were cleaned daily which was great. The pillows were a bit too chunky for us, so we asked for some softer ones and they gave us some straight away. There was an iron and ironing board, blanket and a fan in the room which I think was a nice touch. The breakfast was quite nice and nothing was too much trouble for the staff in the mornings. We didn’t have our dinner here in the evening so can’t comment though believe it’s a busy and well recommended place. We did have a drink here one afternoon and the waiter was very friendly. The lady (I think the manager) was very helpful when trying to arrange a taxi for the Eden Project, though we did end up just getting the bus as taxis aren’t as easy to get as we thought, though we were last minute with booking it. The area (St Austell) is quite run down which is a shame as it could look lovely, but the pub is very pretty and well kept despite this and it is very quiet. It is a great base to explore Cornwall. A visit to the Eden Project is a must! And the train/bus station is just a 5 min walk away. We got a train to Newquay which was amazing. Thank you for a lovely stay :)
