Fabulous christmass meal for our walking group we found the venue warm and inviting food excellent and good value.in the mortal word of terminator (I will be back).

Came here for our walking group's Christmas meal. Wow, what a delight. The room where we were seated was beautifully decorated and the table was dressed for the occasion. 16 of us so they'd pushed tables together to make one long banquet style table. And what a banquet it was. We had all pre ordered our food beforehand to help the kitchen so everything came out piping hot and flawlessly. The staff were attentive, friendly and polite throughout. We all left felling full, not just full tummies but full of festive cheer.

My wife and I stayed overnight. This is an old building which the owners have turned into an attractive, slightly quirky destination. The staff and owners are welcoming and give personalized attention. As soon as we checked in, we had to duck out for a lecture elsewhere in historic Lostwithiel. The staff cheerfully laid on excellent sandwiches for us on our late return. An excellent breakfast was served by one of the owners. We were sorry that we had missed the evening meal. I feel this would be an excellent base during the summer holiday season.

This pub is great. Nice ale, nice wine. Absolutely lovely staff. We appreciate it is an old building. Breakfast was nice. Good for healthy choices. Chef smashed the smoked haddock and poached eggs 😊. We appreciate we got a good deal, however attention is needed in the rooms. Positives, good clean linen, comfy bed, warm. Requirements - sort the shower area out, needs new sealant. Room 1 will be difficult for some guests to sit on the loo as too close to the shower glass.

Afternoon tea - it was ok. I was expecting a really nice Cornish scone but it was clearly all shop bought from supermarket. Bit disappointed. It was bought from a buy a gift voucher and I had to upgrade it to this. The dining room we had it in was nice and cosy.
