Due to mis-communication I arrived at 9 pm to find I couldn't access the room until I paid a deposit for damage etc. With just a phone on me I tried to pay this but was not successful.There was no one there to assist. There was no answer from the contact number therefore I was sitting in the lobby at 9 pm after a long journey with no where to go. I am 64 years old as Nd on a wet Friday night I could hear the sound of drunken shouting outside and did not know where I was as I arrived by taxi. I have anxiety and was in a complete panic as no one would answer my call. I therefore called a taxi to get me to another hotel. The owners of the property have lied about the situation and I have lost the sum of £240. I came for my granddaughter's 1st birthday and I have lost the equivalent of a whole week's pay.
