I stayed at Vijayshree Resort for 2 nights and 3 days in their Heritage Villa. While the welcome experience was warm and traditional—with a garland and tilak—the overall stay was disappointing in several key areas. ✅ What I Liked Warm Welcome: The arrival experience was genuinely pleasant. The garland and tilak made for a good first impression. ❌ Room & Facilities The room was very old and poorly maintained especially Heritage Villas. The door was extremely tight and difficult to open or lock properly. The AC unit was outdated and not efficient. The room lacked proper ventilation, making it uncomfortable at times. ❌ Dining Experience I had opted for both breakfast and dinner at the resort. The buffet quality was below average. Menu options were very limited, lacking variety. Restaurant staff were not trained and struggled to understand both English and Kannada. Food prices were very high compared to the quality and quantity served. Basic items like curd at dinner and coffee at breakfast had to be specifically requested. Food served in the buffet was insufficient and required two to three reminders to refill. Tables were not properly set—no quarter plates, no water glasses, and no water served proactively. We had to ask for water instead of being offered. Overall Impression Despite a good welcome, the stay fell short in terms of room quality, service, food, and staff professionalism. For the price charged, the experience did not justify the cost. The property has potential, but it requires serious improvement in maintenance, staff training, and dining standards.

The location was convenient and had close proximity to all main attractions. The hospitality was top notch with Raya suite to be the most dreamy! The staff were supportive and kind.

One of the best stays I’ve had in a long time! The rooms were spacious, beautifully designed, and extremely comfortable. The service was always prompt and well-organized, making the stay effortless. The hospitality of the staff stood out warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. And I have to highlight the food at the hotel restaurant absolutely delicious, easily one of the best meals I’ve had while traveling. Overall, a perfect experience in Hampi, and I’d happily return again.

I rarely write such harsh reviews, but my stay at Vijayashree Resort & Heritage Village was one of the worst hospitality experiences of my life. We paid ₹18,000 per night per room and booked 2 rooms for the night of the 29th. Calling this place a scam may sound exaggerated—but read on to understand why. Not Even Basic Hospitality While the property infrastructure looks good, it is completely ruined by zero maintenance and pathetic service. This hotel operates like a third-grade lodge charging 5-star prices. >No towels in the room on arrival. Had to request multiple times. >Intercom was not working and remained unfixed despite repeated complaints. >Room doors don’t close properly—the mechanism is jammed, the wood is worn out, and anyone can easily peek inside. This is a serious privacy and safety issue, unacceptable for a so-called luxury resort. >For ₹18,000 a night, there were no laundry bags, no comb, no vanity items—just a basic toothpaste and soap gel. Incompetent Room Service & Restaurant >Tea bags were missing and were never refilled despite multiple calls. I literally had to borrow tea bags from a nearby room. >Wi-Fi password was not provided at all. >Intercom instructions are wrong. The numbers mentioned don’t work. Random numbers work instead—clearly no one cares. Now the food, which deserves special mention—for all the wrong reasons: >₹350 curd rice served frozen and without salt. Even roadside food tastes better. >Ordered food at 6:30 PM—told the restaurant was “closed”. >Menu says restaurant opens at 7 PM. >Called at 7—asked rudely to call at 7:30 PM. >Ordered at 7:30—food arrived only at 8:30 PM after multiple follow-ups. >White pasta was declared unavailable ONE HOUR AFTER ordering. >Only milk was delivered initially. The rest was forgotten. This level of chaos is unacceptable even in a budget hotel, forget a 5-star resort. Staff Attitude: “Not My Problem” >No greeting at check-in, no welcome drink, no courtesy. >Staff behave as if guests are a burden. >Every interaction ends with a silent message: “This is not my job.” Overpriced, Underwhelming, and Misleading I checked recent reviews later and realized many guests have reported the same issues. Nothing has changed, which shows the management simply doesn’t care. This stay cost me nearly ₹35,000, which feels completely wasted. In fact, calling it “cost” is generous—I feel cheated. I had initially planned to extend my stay, but after this experience, I checked out early and moved to another hotel in Anegundi, which was far better in every possible way. This is not a 5-star hotel. It is a poorly managed, overpriced property running purely on misleading branding. I will never book this brand again, even in other cities. One of the worst decisions of my life. Please do yourself a favor and avoid this place completely.

I am booked here for 4N and it's just been 1N as I write this. Summarised in bullet points for ease of reading: 1. Room: it's a small cramped room for 2 adults and 1 child. Clearly not value for any kind of money and certainly not for what we've paid which you'll know at the end! Anyways, the bathrooms exhaust doesn't work. First time we complained, someone came and checked the drainage. Next time we complained, no one came till the evening. In the evening after complaining again someone was sent with vanity basket! Finally, I had to personally escort a maintenance person to the room who checked and certified that the exhaust is working properly. Clearly, we have no clue! 2. Housekeeping: first night we had to wait for a proper blanket for our child for 2 hours before it was delivered. Also, despite clearly telling housekeeping that we need 3 towels, we were supplied 2 handtowels. There are no bath towels in my room as I write this. 3. Restaurant, food and service: The restaurant is so run down that it matches the Hampi ruins! Anyways, the food here is the same as what's served outside in a roadside dhaba or probably slightly worse. An hour ago, I went for dinner only to find no table out of the 20 cleaned and no staff around to even tend to it. Anyways, I served myself from the buffet and sat to eat. I ask the sever who got me roti to get me a diet coke. He says I need to ask my manager before serving you your coke. I said I know it's paid for separately so just get it. He still never got it. The one poor who was running around trying to help guests out was so out of her depth and flustered that I thought I'll get myself some water - not a bottle in sight! I ask her for water and the first thing she asks me my room number. I was ending my meal then, with no coke and no water. I ask for the restaurant manager who never came. A hapless head stewart came and refused to tend to me looking very busy turning pages of the guest list. 2 other guests for up mid-meal disgusted with the quality of food and service. 4. Games room: what an apology for a games room - the TT table, pool table, many other games are either broken completely or not in a state where you would even want to spend a minute! 5. Front desk: I March to the front desk to complain and oit comes the front desk head who acknowledges all these problems. I asked for the resort manager and I am told that the person is on day-off! This is our 2nd night with 2 more to go. The best part - for all this, we have paid more than 1 lakh for 4N - a neat 25k+ per night!!

Great place to stay and relax. Enjoy the hospitality of the ever cheerful courteous staff with a very serene and tranquil surroundings amidst the beauty of nature nurtured by the resort and its hardworking staff. Great food with unique experiences of a thali combining the flavours of Rajasthan, Gujarat and South India. Could witness the pleasure of serving as a host in a homely environment taking care of our comfort and time. Good for leisure walks with vast expanse of the multiple green lawns and sunshine to start the day. Serene place for ‘Nirvana’ Spa with amazing staff and their overwhelming skills to enjoy a good session. The swimming pool with its advantage available. Beautiful cottages in the midst of small water bodies is also unique. The place is blessed with the chirping of various birds and cool winds. It also hosts a helipad and an organic farm with vegetables like okra, gourd, palak, pudina, coriander. Shout out to Lensong, Pratik, Ravi, Priya, Nancy and their amazing team for their relentless service to keep up to the expectations of the guests visiting here.
