BEWARE! EXPECT ADDITIONAL CHARGES AT CHECK IN. We booked a room through the Hilton app for Thanksgiving night at the Manchester, TN Hampton Inn. The online rate for the reservation was $149. I checked the box that I had pets and added the note that I had 2 dogs. There was no pet fee added to the reservation on the app total for the stay. On Thanksgiving, when I arrived for my stay, the front desk agent, Mel, told me my total was $400. I said no - it’s $150. She then told me that they charge a $125 per pet fee for bringing pets on the premises. I pointed out that I had included them on the reservation and it wasn’t disclosed there and so I would like them to honor the reservation total I booked. She then proceeded to tell me that I could pay the fee or go find a different hotel. I asked if she would be cancelling my reservation then so I would not be charged for the room. She told me no, they would bill me the $150 whether I stayed with them or not because I was past the cancellation window. After much arguing she agreed to charge only $125 for a pet fee and so we ended up paying over $275 for a $150 reservation. Oh - and those 2 free waters you are supposed to get as a Hilton Honors member ….those cost me $8 at this hotel too. According to Mel, they don't participate in most of the Hilton Honors perks and it's their right not to. I called Hilton Honors customer support and Tiara informed me that they allow their operators to tack on additional fees for an abundance of things, which are not disclosed on their app when you make reservations and individual locations can tack on once you are on site. The only way to find out total fees is to call the hotel and specifically ask about their additional fees. Apparently it’s a loophole they know some of their operators take great advantage of and they allow it. This is apparently one of those locations. BEWARE. Be prepared for a "bait and switch" that neither Hilton or this Hampton Inn location has any remorse at all about pulling on their customers. They are determined to take your $ - whether you stay with them or not.

The only things were towels that were very thin, and pillows that were too soft. Otherwise, it was great

Passing through from a trip and stopped for the night. Room was comfortable. Internet/wifi wasn’t very good. Plenty of parking and a Cracker Barrel almost next door. The breakfast was adequate, but could have been better. There was no waffle spray out and my waffle stuck and had to be torn out. The gravy was like water. The seating was all extremely worn. Don’t know that we’d stop here again.

We are a small school needing to stay for a tournament but the rain canceled our games so we couldn’t travel. Been calling the hotel for over a week bc they charged us a fee and no one will call back. We play there every year but we will not stay at this property again. There is a new Marriott property down the street and they will get our business from now on. All it would have taken is a simple phone call from the manager, who must not care about customer service.

This Hampton Inn is extremely overpriced for what they offer! This is a very basic minimal old Hampton! They did not welcome my wife and I as Diamond members. They did not send us text when we got to our room asking if everything was OK, and if there was anything we needed. They only have TWO ONE HALF luggage carts, which have no hooks to hang bags and sacks on! The pool is outside! The furniture is old and dated. They have a very small breakfast area. Their breakfast was the most minimal offerings they could put out. The raison bread was stale. Most of the time there was no- one at the desk. In addition to being $40 higher than the Hampton inn 35 miles to the North and the Hampton in to the South on I-24. they have an 18% TAX! When my wife and I pass through this area again in the future, we will NOT be staying at this Hampton Inn.

I have been a Hilton Honors member for 20+ years and a Diamond member for the last eight. So needless to say, I am loyal to Hilton. But after my experience at the Manchester, TN Hampton, that may have to change. For this trip, my daughter had a travel credit with Delta Stays, so we used that to book a night at the Manchester Hampton. After a long day of travelling, we arrived very late in the evening to check in and were told by the desk manager that there was a problem with Delta Stays, so we would need to call them and cancel our stay (which was prepaid) and book directly with him (at a high price). No other offer to assist or at least let us get checked in while they worked it out with Delta Stays. Basically made it clear that it was not his problem. So we did call Delta Stays and they said everything looked good on their end including a successful authorization from the hotel. They offered to call the hotel to work it out, but apparently the desk manager didn't feel like picking up, so the call kept going to voicemail. Luckily for us, Delta Stays quickly called around and found us another hotel close by and moved our reservation over there, including paying the difference in price. So a big thumbs up to Delta stays for being so awesome. And also an even bigger thumbs up to Alex at the LX Hotel where we ended up staying for being so wonderful. For the owner of the Hampton, this desk manager really should not be the face of your hotel. For Hilton, I thought Diamond membership meant something, but apparently not. It may be time to rethink my loyalty to you.
