My friend and I stayed at The Mansion House Hotel when we attended a concert at The Sandringham Estate. We arrived early, (we had contacted Sam earlier to check this would be ok) and received a very warm welcome. Both Sam and her husband were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Our rooms were very clean and beautifully furnished. Breakfast in the morning was substantial! I had some of the choices from the variety of continental options as well as poached eggs on toast. Nothing was too much trouble...Sam made sure gluten free options were available. On arriving home, I realised I had left a couple of items behind and Sam very kindly posted them the following morning! We will definitely stay again when we return to the Peterborough area!

We stayed in the deluxe double room in the main house, this place is 300 yrs old and full of character. We were in Holbeach to purchase a property and both Richard and Sam made us feel extremely welcome, lovely couple and more than happy to help with their local knowledge and also the region in general, hopefully we’ve made our first friends in Holbeach and look forward to meeting them again.

We were lucky enough to stay here over the bank holiday weekend and had a wonderful experience. Beautiful room and the hosts were so accommodating and helpful. Highly recommended and lovely stay - thank you for having us !

Visited The Mansion House in Holbeach to attended the Heritage festival at weekend at Sandringham. Stayed for 6 nights.

Really lovely hotel, run by an amazing couple Sam & Richard. Nothing is a bother for them. They go above and beyond.

Car park areas for approx 3 cars at hotel, but they also have another larger car park area essentially just around corner. Always got parked there too.

We stayed in the Deluxe Double Rooms with Ensuite with wonderful showers.

Really lovely comfortable rooms and facilities, lovely outside seating area too.

Eating area is in basement. All areas very tastefully set out on all levels and in rooms. Very good hospitality trays in rooms.

Brilliant tasty breakfasts. Everything you need.

Quite a few steps into hotel and within. No lift as it’s such an old building but we managed well with luggage & with help of owners too.

Heat wave while we were there, so I was very grateful for the large resident fans in rooms. Nice touch.

I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this wonderful hidden treasure of a hotel, great location for visiting Lincolnshire and nearby Norfolk. I’ll definitely be returning.

Bit confusing

Check in via intercom not ideal after a tiresome 250 mile car journey. Entry into Hotel via basement, not particularly welcoming. Dull in corridor, difficult to read room numbers. Nice chat with owner the next morning. Unsure if breakfast was included but already committed to leaving anyway.

What a lovely place and a welcoming and friendly couple who run it. I was let down very late at a different hotel and they were able to help me out late on. Rooms are lovely, the house is beautiful with lots of history, there’s parking available, it’s right in the centre close to shops and restaurants and the breakfast is excellent. I will return!
