Kristiania Lech is a member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World and feels far more like a private Alpine residence than a classic luxury hotel. Set just above the centre of Lech, it offers calm, privacy and a very personal atmosphere. Service is one of the hotel’s strongest assets. Attention feels individual and natural, without stiffness or formality. Practical details are handled quietly in the background, from valet parking and minivan transfers to the ski lifts, to efficient concierge support. Food is central to the experience and is shaped by Belgian chef Jurgen Dirkx. We dined several times in the main restaurant and also enjoyed an excellent fondue chinoise evening in the Kaminzimmer. The cuisine moves confidently between modern Alpine cooking with French influences and classic dishes, always with a strong focus on product quality. Rooms and suites are all different and follow a travel-inspired “Grand Tour” concept. We stayed in the Turandot Suite, which offered generous space, very good comfort and wide views over the village and surrounding mountains. Materials, colours and artworks are carefully selected, giving each room its own identity without feeling over-designed. Kristiania Lech stands out for its calm luxury, personal service and individuality. The full review is published in our magazine, Travel Magazine Belgium.

Just back from 5nts here. Rooms were nice, food was amazing. However the best thing about the hotel is the staff. Each and every one, in every department, is outstanding. Not a single weak staff member among them. They all genuinely want you to have the best time there. Full credit to whoever is in charge of staff training! Breakfasts were great at setting us up for the day. We had snacks and drinks in the bar in the afternoon. We ate dinner in the main restaurant which was faultless. We had cheese fondue one night - won’t spoil the surprise, but if you have time you must try it! Have had so many over the years but this was very different, and great! We wouldn’t normally pay attention to the crockery and glassware in any hotel, and it seems so strange to mention it, but it has all been handpicked like pieces of art - remarkable really. Highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is a top notch ski hotel. We stayed 4 nights and I am really empressed how they are taking care of each guest. From check in until check out you feel you are a part of the hotel. So kind staff, excellent food, big and comfortable rooms with fresh flowers. Thank you for everything, I will recommend to everyone.

Every winter we visit the Lech/Zurs area as it's our favorite winter destination. Nowhere in the Alps you will find such a density of amazing hotels with a certain elegance land we tried out many of them. To our surprise we didn't enjoyed this hotel as we had expected much more. Ambiance is nice as the interior is playful and cozy. Staff is friendly. The food is fairly static and okay for one evening but during the whole week a bit boring. There is barely a spa and unfortunately the jacuzzi isn't working. Except the relatively high room rates nothing really stands out in this hotel. What I do like is the rich history of the family that owns this hotel. Wish that more hotels in the world are like that. This hotel pales in comparison to the 5-star hotels in the area (Arlberg, Almhof Schneider, Zürserhof are amongst our favorites). Even if you compare it with more modest 4-star hotels (like Gotthard, Der Berghof, Auriga etc). By all means, many first time visitors to Lech would probably like Kristiania but we're just too experienced and demanding to be impressed.
