An excellent choice~
The hotel was recommended to me and I'm so glad I stayed there.
Yes, they "check all the boxes" but i was impressed by the little things that were above standard: "real" dishes, silverware, glassware and mugs (not paper and plastic disposable) used for the breakfast service, excellent mattresses and bed linens, quality updated bathroom fixtures and finishes. The staff was friendly and generous. Add ample, easy parking (I was driving a large box truck), and Microtel is an easy choice I'd happily make again.

The room was so clean! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing.

This place has become my go-to stay while in Lloydminster. Walkable to ****** and gas station as well as coffee shop.

Ofel was very friendly and professional checking us in. We went straight to the pool which was a huge hit with children.

The staff member was not at front counter when we came to check in, there was a bell so i rang it, waited about 5 min, heard no movement so i rang it again (3times quick succession) a staff member came about 2 min later and snatched the bell off the counter. She told me she was shutting off the water slide and didnt hear me, i told her no problem. She seemed annoyed that i had pulled her away from the other task.
Also we cane for the breakfast around 830 and most of the food was gone- i was hoping they would put out more but they only refilled the bacon. So it was limited choice but still good food!

The restaurant was the biggest issue. I’ve never gone somewhere that wanted me to cook my own steak on a BBQ. The rest of the menu was super limited and I had to drive somewhere else to eat dinner. Aside from that it’s a good hotel.

The lazy older lady at check-in ignored us for 10 minutes before offering to help. They made a big issue about the credit card I was using - even though I use it at hotels all across North America for the last 4 years without any issues. It was insane. I wouldn’t stay again because of these two rude ladies at check-in. Trying to create problems that didn’t exist

Unfortunately, our room was directly above the pool. So quiet time after a drive was not an option.
There was a group of kids above us jumping off their bed at midnight, I would mostly chalk that one up to parenting.
The bed sagged in the middle, which was hard on the back.
