I visited Udaipur with my family and stayed one night at Hotel Meenakshi, which turned out to be a terrifying experience. We had booked 3 rooms. In one of the rooms, 6 kids were sleeping when, around midnight, a large chunk of ceiling POP/plaster suddenly collapsed and fell dangerously close to them. Thankfully, the heavier part missed them by just a few inches – otherwise it could have caused serious injury or worse. Even then, a couple of kids got minor scratches. This is a huge safety hazard and shows the lack of maintenance and responsibility from the hotel management. After the incident, we were shocked by the lack of proper apology or urgency from the staff. On top of that, the rooms were smelly and felt unclean from the moment we checked in. Basic hygiene and upkeep were clearly ignored. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those travelling with family or children. If safety and cleanliness matter to you, please stay elsewhere.

From check-in to check-out, everything was flawless. The staff (shoutout to Maria at the front desk!) were warm and attentive. Our room was spotless, modern, and had a stunning city view. The breakfast buffet was fresh and diverse—don’t miss the made-to-order omelets. We’ll definitely be back

We arrived at the hotel at 2 PM. The check-in was very smooth. We had reserved a deluxe/standard room with breakfast. The room was small but suitable for two persons. The bathroom was clean and had towels, soap, and shampoo. The hotel is on the main road, but I could not hear any noise in the room. The next morning, we had breakfast here, which included Poha, chhole-bhature, and buttered bread. Checkout was smooth as well. Overall, we had a decent stay at this hotel, and it was affordable too.

Experience was good, rooms were small but cozy, far from city centre but if you have vehicle then it is easily accessible. If you are travel-ling without your own vehicle and going to rent bike later, i would suggest you to directly rent a bike when you first enter in the city and then reach the hotel. Staff were very polite. Rooms were clean. 24*7 hot water. Overall good experience.
