Rooms were clean. The bed was very comfortable! Room was perfect temperature for me. The only concern I had was the room my cousin entered, had an incredibly strong old-spice-type scent, specifically in the bathroom and she almost had an asthma attack. The scent was not the same in my room, so I wonder if it was a staff thing that they sprayed themselves up while they were cleaning?

Anyways, the staff on duty was very accommodating and was able to switch my cousin’s room. She actually switched mine as well so we could be on the same floor together. We were very grateful.

It was the first time staying at the Canalta and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were extremely accommodating and the place was absolutely beautiful.

Great rooms, disappointing pool situation.

We recently stayed at the Canalta and overall had a very good experience. The room was beautiful, spacious, and perfect for our family — three beds made it incredibly comfortable and convenient. The check-in staff were super helpful and welcoming, and the included breakfast was wonderful. The halls were quiet, and the high ceilings in our room added a nice touch of luxury.

There were, however, a few disappointments. The waterslide was closed with no prior notice, which was unfortunate since it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel. The pool area was unsupervised (which we understand), but it wasn’t the most family-friendly atmosphere when a guest sat beside the hot tub blaring loud music from a portable Bluetooth speaker, despite the posted “no radios” rule.

We also noticed that the main-floor hallways were quite dirty when we arrived late in the evening — likely from work boots — though we appreciated seeing the staff mopping early the next morning as we checked out.

All in all, we’d certainly consider staying again thanks to the great room and friendly service, but next time we’ll be sure to check ahead about the waterslide and pool area conditions.

This hotel is old and there are the obvious signs of wear and tear however I loved staying here and would come back! The pool area is absolutely amazing, and my air conditioner worked amazing. The bed was very comfortable and I got 5 pillows instead of the regular 4. Don't know if that was an accident but I was happy! The front desk Lady was super nice the both times I went down through the lobby!

Great parking for large trucks and RV. Around 10 designated spots on property and then tons of options on street. 2 minute walk to a restaurant and lounge aswell as fast food options all withing minutes of the property. Clean room, friendly staff. I will most likely make this my stay while on my trips

Wonderful hotel. Large bright hallways and large clean room with comfortable, bed and pillows.

Nice that rooms on main floor had a door outside. We didn’t have time to take advantage of pool or hot tub.
