We were 2 of us and stayed at Bella vista for 3 nights. Located in Mahabaleshwar, a few steps from Lingmala Falls, Bella Vista in Mahabaleshwar is immensely popular for honeymooners & family getaways. We checked into our room which had a comfortable bed, all essential amenities & clean bathroom. Their in house restaurant offers minimal decor, cozy indoor seating , ample varieties in Ala carte and buffet for all age groups. They have an outdoor pool , indoor play room & outdoor play area to keep the guests entertained through their stay. Pamper yourself in their in house spa which offers various spa services or burn those extra calories in their fitness centre. Enjoy fresh air, lush greenery while strolling around the property which shouldn’t be missed. Overall bella vista is a wonderful choice for couples, honeymooners , families & large groups looking for lush greenery, comfortable rooms, great food, ample amenities & a relaxed stay.

I have visited Bella Vista Resort on 8 December 2025 with my family. Positives: 1. The booking experience was quite good, with the sales executive suggesting the perfect set of rooms for our stay. Considering that we also had senior citizens with us, they suggested the 2-room apartment in Forest Wing on ground floor. Self-driven car can be parked right besides the building which is very convenient. 2. The on site restaurant is decent, breakfast buffet is quite nice for this price range. Restaurant staff is well trained and accommodating - they arranged for tawa roti for us even though it is not there on the menu; likewise they were flexible with ingredients to suit no onion no garlic preference for mix pulav. 3. Ambience in the lawn area is pretty good, specially right after breakfast with morning sunlight. 4. No explicit demand or even implicit hint towards tipping by any of the staff. I liked the concept of gratitude box (or something similar, I forgot the name) they have to ensure people working behind the scenes also get a fare share as well as avoid unease to customers who do not want to tip. Negatives: 1. They have a drum circle activity in the evenings and this was my primary reason for choosing to stay at this resort. However we had a negative experience here. I am adding details about this in later part of this review. It seems this activity is highly uncoordinated, nobody in the staff at reception has accurate details about timing of this activity. You ask 3 staff members when this activity happens and all 3 will tell you 3 different times. 2. The kids play room is a good idea, but should be maintained better. This is minor, but I noticed that some of the players on the foosball table are broken and fixed with cello tape. Now coming to the experience we had with drum circle activity. During checkin at reception, we were told that drum circle activity happens from 7 pm to 8 pm, followed by live music at the restaurant from 8 pm to 10 pm. We were in the kids play room from around 5:30 pm till 6:45 pm and only few other guests were there at that time. Around 6:45 pm our daughter started to get cranky and wanted to go back to the room. We took her to the room assuming since the activity starts at 7 we will have plenty of time to come back. We came back at 7:30 pm to find the drum instructor winding up the activity. This was our exchange with him. Me: Hi, we want to play the drums. Instructor: It's 7:30 and it is over now, I am going to the restaurant to play live music Me: We were told this drum activity is from 7 to 8 pm Instructor: No it is 06:30 to 07:30 pm Me: We were here at 06:30, this had not started at that time. Instructor: Oh yeah that's because I was late. The instructor then pointed to the resort staff present in the kids play room to "help us with other kids activities". That staff also repeated the same thing that now it is time for live music so this drum activity cannot be done. When I go to a resort for va
