Firstly, the place is difficult to find as it is located in a shopping mall car park. It is also unmanned so there is no staff on site. Access to the building and to your room is by entering a code into a keypad. It seems highly unlikely that the code would be changed between guests and so security could be an issue. The foyer smells very unpleasant and the rooms aren’t much better. The worst problem however is the cleanliness. There were hairs in my shower, the toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly and the blanket on the bed had definitely not been washed between guests. They were finger marks all over the doors and walls and there was a spider and it’s last meal dangling from the ceiling in my room. My colleague found a large cockroach in her kitchen in the morning also. One positive was the shower was hot and the water was plentiful. Unfortunately the water from the shower pulled all over the bathroom floor so everything got wet. There are much nicer places to stay in Emerald and I would suggest that would be a better option.

Apartments are run down and hardly look like the pictures. Clearly this place has seen better days. Shower had mould and limescale. Bedside table had crumbs on it. Fire alarm had a plastic bag secured over it - which felt highly suspicious and illegal. Felt super uncomfortable and unsafe, the hallways and slamming of doors makes for a very anxious sleep. Not to mention the lack of key, the code on the door makes it feel like anyone could walk in. Wifi did not work. The carpark is extremely open and unsecured. Only people outside were scary and doing laps of the car park. Would not recommend to anyone wanting a safe and clean stay.

There are no keys or locks and instead rooms are accessed by a code. The room looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in months. Dirt, dust, hair and food from other people who had stayed there previously was in the kitchen, bathroom and blankets. The air conditioner was old and extremely noisy. The rooms have no soundproofing and are located near a busy road and shopping centre. I would avoid at any price point, though I was charged $190 for the night.
