What a gem of a place, staff are so helpful and polite, food is fantastic, atmosphere brilliant, clean well appointed, rooms spotless and very comfortable, we will definitely stay again and will recommend it to family and friends

Really lovely hotel - modern room with good bathroom. Great food - better than expected. Lovely staff. Good breakfast and a good strong pot of Yorkshire Tea. Village is lovely and conveniently located close to Ullswater for our walk. Cheers, Ian and Jacqui

Had the best time at The Kings Arms. I stayed here for my birthday with my wife and young child and we all loved our time here. Room was perfect for the 3 of us, nicely decorated and good size for us, and was also given a travel cot for the little one, she slept through the night on it, which was a delight :P Additionally the food was exceptional, portion sizes are huge and food was soooo good I couldn't stop eating, nearly burst my jeans lol There was a live singer on the Saturday night as well who was very good and its always great to have a place that has live music, always adds to the atmosphere, surprised the little one loved the live singer, her first time seeing someone sing live as well. I will also say little one went to bed while singer was still on and couldn't hear a thing from our room, no noise. Staff across the board were attentive, kept everything clean and chatty which helped with the aesthetic as well even though I wasn't a "local" we felt like we were. I would highly recommend this place, amazing value and me and the family will be back soon :)

Stopped on spec whilst passing by for a bite of lunch and was surprised and delighted by the standard of the food produced. So good that I had to ask for the recipe. Service was excellent, friendly and welcoming and the soup we had was simply extraordinary. Thoroughly recommended.

Our one night stopover was very relaxing. We enjoyed an excellent meal and spent the evening in the peaceful welcoming lounge. Breakfast was of the same high standard. Our room stylish and the bed extremely comfortable. Overall we would highly recommend a stay in this excellently run hotel, situated in a small peaceful picturesque village.

骑行之后，我和伴侣在国王武器酒店 (King Arms) 停下来吃午饭。我们刚走进酒店，一位女服务员就热情地接待了我们，迅速安排我们入座并询问我们想喝什么。我们都点了苏格兰蛋配黑布丁，我的主菜是牛排派，而我的伴侣点了羊肉。苏格兰蛋做得非常棒，外皮酥脆，鸭蛋中间依然鲜嫩。我的牛排派个头很大，里面满满的都是牛肉，入口即化。我的伴侣说她的羊肉做得非常美味，她对自己的选择非常满意。这家餐厅物超所值，服务始终热情周到，我们一定会再次光顾。
我们预订了这家餐厅的午餐来庆祝我的生日。酒吧很温馨，壁炉里燃着温暖的火焰，桌子上摆放着圣诞拉炮。然而，我们并没有被安排在酒吧的座位上。难道是因为我们一行人中有两个小男孩，所以才被安排到隔壁的房间吗？——那里没有壁炉里的火焰，也没有圣诞拉炮（显然，因为我们没有预订圣诞晚餐，所以即使当天是12月20日，我们也没有资格享用拉炮）。房间里只有一张六人桌（我们被安排到了这张桌子旁），还有很多沙发和咖啡桌。等到我们的餐点上桌时，房间里已经挤满了人，他们有的只是在喝饮料，有的则是带着幼儿和婴儿的年轻夫妇，让我们感觉自己仿佛置身于一个家长和婴儿的聚会中，而不是一家令人愉悦的餐厅。至于食物……我们确实问过是否可以在儿童餐里加一些烤豆。得到的回答是斩钉截铁的“不行”，直到服务员可能觉得自己刚才的语气有些失礼，才说她会去厨房问问。不用说，烤豆没上，但哪家供应早餐的酒吧橱柜里没有罐装烤豆呢？食物非常一般，豌豆煮得过老又硬，土豆角/薯条也淡而无味，让人倒胃口。我们原本计划这次外出用餐，享受一次愉快的家庭聚餐。结果却让我们感到不受欢迎，非常失望。我们住在附近，但肯定不会再光顾这家酒吧了。
非常干净，早餐很棒！我们只住了一晚，但睡得很好，淋浴很舒服，早餐也很棒！如果住超过一晚，我们可能会觉得房间里没有电视有点不方便，但考虑到我们只住了一晚，这倒不是什么大问题。总之非常干净（感谢Caitlin！），睡得很好。
