Bad odor when I entered the room. Was not expecting a motel but I guess that is on me. I was looking for a last minute hotel in the area and read previous reviews before booking. As a solo female traveler I just didn’t feel comfortable. Shower had dead bugs and stained shower curtain. There were three cars in the parking lot. I left without a refund and found a Hotel nearby where I felt safer.

I was charged $100 deposit, then on top of that $25 per day for my service animal which was not supposed to be a charge. Stay 3 days room was never cleaned never got any extra toilet paper towels or anything this place should be called Last Resort!

We booked this at a higher price than ithers in the area bc they offered a pool, there was no pool. 100% smoke free building still smelt like smoke. There were burn holes in the bedding. The towels were stained yellow. There was no house keeping, had to go ask the front desk for toilet paper after being out all day.

We have stayed at this hotel in 2024 and again in 2025. Both times our room was clean, staff was pleasant and welcoming. This hotel is perfect for a restful night at a reasonable cost. It is basic room/hotel with continental breakfast. Not many amenities like a pool or exercise room but we don't need that. If you are looking for a clean reasonable priced place to stay this would be it.

We thought it would be fine for a quick 1 night stay but we would never stay here again. As soon as we walked into our room we didn’t want our bags touching any surfaces. The room was not updated (expected and OK) but it was also not clean. We went ahead and stayed as we just needed somewhere to sleep and leave the next morning but took showers and washed our things as soon as we got home. Just had the icks the whole time.

We had a hard time understanding the guy when we checked in
The room had hair on the bed sheets and in the shower
The sheets and bed spread had dirt or stains on them so you were not sure if they were clean or not.

Seedy roadside motel
The room smelled terrible, it’s definitely not the Wyndham standard so must be newly acquired. This is more of a roadside motel than a hotel. I actually left the night I checked in and went to a diff hotel in Matthews.
