Location was good and convenient. Classic rooms were not great but suite was good. Staff was very good....Karishma made excellent home style chicken curry, the chef Motiyar took extra efforts to make a Caesar salad and serve in the room, Banajit, and Raniya gave great service in the restaurant..reception staff - Narendra, Shubhada and Wilma was also courteous and prompt. Mohan an assistant was very helpful, As there are not many hotels in Karwar, this appears to be the most suitable. Improvement is required in quality of ACs, sound proofing, providing hand towels, hair dryer etc..

Atmosphere and rooms (size and facilities) were most satisfactory. Cleanliness, amenities were good. Housekeeping staff were most helpful. Food and food service were great. Variety, flavors, and portions were perfect. Commending chef Karishma and wait staff Latika and Raniya.

Location is very good, next to Kali river and ocean meeting point, on main highway. Hotel ambience is poor, not matching upto Sterling name. Lobby washrooms are not cleaned, lift carpet is worn out, lift walls have marks all around, yhe balcony of 2nd floor rooms facing sea side having birds poo all around, 2nd floor rooms are tiny and not well maintained. Restaurant staff is courteous and good. Staff in evening is managing the service well. They cook good ala carte however buffet dinner and breakfast is average. The good side of Sterling is allowing early checkin and late checkout if rooms available. They allowed us to checkin early.

Our visit to Karwar and stay at Sterling was very nice . The sea view room helped us enjoy the rains . Jaya from restaurant was very courteous and friendly and helpful with local tips We spent a day visiting Rock garden which we liked very much . Another day we visited Gokarna visiting temples and beaches

The staff is really cordial and inviting. It's a well-maintained property with views from the mountain on the east and the sea to the west. The rooms are really value for money. My husband and I have been well attended to. The dining area is well serviced by the team. It's calm and well-maintained. Thanks to Usha, the rest of the service staff and the chefs for making our dining experience a delightful one.
