We had one night, bought for us for my 70th, by my daughter, all the staff where wonderfull, we had 2 hours in the spa it was heaven, then a lovely meal, we had a lovely room, met some lovely people, best night sleep we've had in ages, could have done with another few nights.

3 night Jan break. Stayed in a classic room which was cosy. 2 hours in Spa was amazing so relaxing . Ate in the restaurant every evening and food and service was great every time. Pool table a great social time after dinner with new friends! Only comment is bath could do with an upgrade.

We stayed in a deluxe room and had a fantastic back massage then had 2 hours in the spa. Everyone was so accommodating. The bistro food absolutely delicious we will be back x

I agree with all other reviews and enjoyed our third stay at hotel but one issue needs to be sorted please. The dressing gowns for the spa were too small. We asked for a larger size and was told there were problems with the laundry and hotel was looking for a different supplier. On previous visits dressing gowns were ok. Had to wear bath towel to couple all bits going down from our bedroom for a massage. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay again

Visited here yesterday on route to York and so glad we did. We were booked in for the two hour thermal journey with light afternoon tea package. The spa facilities are lovely, very clean and well thought out. We finished slightly earlier than the two hours but no issue just heading up for our lunch. The food was lovely and the environment stunning. We will definitely return to this beautiful hotel.

. We were lucky enough to have the Garden Suite which is a stunning apartment with all mod cons and very comfortable. Rooms were spotless. We had a afternoon tea and spa session as well as staying for dinner and breakfast. Food was lovely and fresh and the menu was 1st class. The afternoon tea was fantastic (we had asked for a vegetarian selection and the quiche and the vegetable rolls were very tasty). We couldn't eat it all Spa facilities were 1st class and although there was quite a few people in it never felt too busy. We didn't have any spa treatments but the people who we bumped into who had sang their praises highly. It really is a gem on a place, not far off the motorway but feels like it is in the middle of nowhere. The staff were 1st rate especially Ellie (I think that's her name... red hair, very helpful and chatty) who served us at lunch, dinner and breakfast.
